    From Chicken to Fish

How about Haddock, I find it has a firm meaty texture but not as firm as halibut and has no fishy taste, I absolutely love it!
  2. Not sure how old you are but I think your Mom needs to know. If she is the one who will kick you in the butt and get you back on track, you need to tell her. You have had major life changing surgery and it is too early on to be failing. TELL YOUR MOM AND ASK FOR HELP!!

    ONE YEAR SLEEVE-VERSARY!

You look fantastic only one chin now!! Keep going though, not sure how tall you are as you don't look too thin now.

Tmi alert! Vag fat and peeing!

Sorry to burst OP's bubble but it doesn't always lose the extra fat in that area. I have had lipo and a labia reduction as I hadn't lost enough fat in this area...................best of luck to you though, maybe age will be a factor.
  5. It does seem like a lot for 11 days out, I was still on full liquids. Should you be eating eggs at this point? Don't push it and eat too much your stomach is in a major healing phase and this has an effect on how full you feel.

    weight gained back

Yes in time you will be able to eat a lot more(for me anyway). It can be challenging sticking to a healthy eating plan. Life gets in the way and your favorite foods might also. I do agree though that you would have to eat continually for a long time to gain all of your weight back. You always have to be conscious of your weight and what you are eating.
  7. Congratulations to you!! What a journey. Just an FYI: 60 grams of carbs would definitely be considered low carb. I also have never done low fat and never have any "diet" products. Good Luck with those last few pounds.

    Traveling for PS alone

I have travelled to Tijuana for some PS and did have assistance at the airport. I have heard that when you have a thigh lift you can't sit for a couple of weeks. I don't know how you will be able to sit up straight on the plane. Please inquire about this. I had my arms done and also could not lift anything. The flight attendants made me ask a passenger to lift my luggage for me. I guess because I didn't "look" sick they didn't really know what was wrong with me.

    Dr. Garcia or Dr. Illan

I had a revision with Dr Garcia and he is an amazingly skilled surgeon and I would highly recommend him. He has performed thousands of surgeries and I found him to be highly skilled in revisions I have had absolutely no issues. Well worth any price that he charges.

    severe constippation

OMG, yes and yes. Take some milk of magnesia and you will go quickly. I take miralax everyday to prevent this from happening.

Delish Summer Drink to get ur liquids in

Not sure how far along you are but pineapple and strawberries would not be allowed for awhile; pineapple is very fibrous and strawberries have seeds. Melons are also very high in carbs(sugar). Not something that I would suggest indulging in every day.

    New swimsuit @ 6 months :)

You look amazing, much smaller than a size 14!!

    Five days post-op & STARVING

First of all you are NOT STARVING! People in third world countries are starving. Your stomach is in a major healing phase and will make noises, this does not mean that you are even hungry. As another poster said follow your eating guidelines and learn to listen to your stomach, it is just healing from major trauma.

    I wish I hadn't seen this forum....

Complications are very, very rare. Also take everything you read with a grain of salt. If you follow your diet plan to the "T" you will be fine. Some on here are just complainers and don't follow their guidelines after surgery and then wonder why they have troubles. Best of Luck, Mexico is top notch!!

    Feeling insecure about dietitian's advice

Doesn't sound like he understands the limitations of the sleeve. Way too many calories and carbs. I ate from 600-800 calories during weight loss phase and very low carb(veggies only).

Weird burning pain 9 months out...

Sounds like gallbladder to me, did they do an ultrasound? This will detect stones for sure. If it is a constipation issue take some M.O.M. this will help for sure and you will then know if this is the culprit.

Which airport did you fly into?

Dr Garcia in Tijuana and flew into San Diego, great airport, great flight flew with Delta.
  18. Don't jump to conclusions right away. She could be on vacation, travelling for business, sick. My co-ordinator did actually travel for her work when I was in contact with her. Your phone contact person is a very small part of the entire process. It is more important the surgeon you picked and his team and co-ordinators when you get to your destination.

Look out world, here I come in a bikini

Looking for anyone who has been re-sleeved~

Can you explain how it is possible for the "fundus" to grow back? Did your first surgeon just leave some there and it stretched leaving you with a bigger stomach?

Protein Shake my way... is this wrong

Waaaaayyyy to many calories for one meal. You are not bulking up for a triathalon. Cut it at least in half. At 4 weeks out you should be eating maybe 500 calories for the entire day.

Protein Shake my way... is this wrong

Wow is this for one meal? Banana, although healthy, is very high in carbs.

Questions about jillians 30 day shred

Not sure why you would doubt a seasoned professional by asking non-professionals(VSG patients) about this topic. If you believe in what she is doing then go for it!!

    Complications ?

FYI: a revision is having your band removed and sleeve surgery done at the same time. I had my revision September 10, 2012 and it has been the absolute best thing that I could have done no complications whatsoever. It is so nice now to be able to eat yogurt, beef, pork, fruits, things I couldn't with the band. Stop worrying and think about the success you will have and be complication free with your surgery. Good Luck!!

    Who has actually reached goal?

Lost my weight in 6 months less a day and now wear a size S/M and 6/8. The post from Elene_7 hit the nail on the head. So many do not believe this and will fight their way to be right in their thinking....................they end up being the ones not reaching their goal weight and wondering why. Some people are just so stubborn!! Love my sleeve and followed the eating plan to a 'T" and as Elene said did everything right!! We all have the ability to reach goal but I agree how bad do you really want it?
