Last night i was reading in bed when all of a sudden i got very cold. So cold I couldnt finish the paragraph, I had to put the book down and get under the covers for warmth. I started shivering and curled up in fetal position and covered my head with the blankets but still couldnt get warm. The shivering turned into violent shaking and uncontrolable teeth chattering. I had to call my BF to come help me. I put a pillow in my mouth to help with the chattering, it was so hard that my jaw was hurting. My body was quaking and convulsing and i just felt so cold. My BF brought a heating pad, an extra blanket and snuggled me until the shaking past, probably about 20 minutes. This morning all of my muscles, especially my neck, arms and back are very sore. I also have a headache. It feels like I was beaten up. About 3 hrs prior i had grilled chicken for dinner. I wasn't quite full and decided to try some of my guy's Flat Out quesadilla. I had 2 tiny bites. I am 5 weeks out, that was my first time trying bread post-op. I also took an Iron chewable. An hour before bed I had a glass of Water with Miralax. Right before bed I took my PPI. 40 min later the convulsing starts. What caused this. Was it the bread? The miixture of medicines? I woke up to acid pain in the night but didn't have any diarrhea, cramping or intestinal pain. If this was late dumping, can I expect that I will always react that way to bread? Should I try again later out? It was very painful and frightening for my boyfriend and I. Any advice / info is appreciated.

What Happened To Me? It Was Scary!
Frza replied to Frza's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Still not sure what This was. Dr said the mix of medications was unlikely to cause this reaction but couldn't rule it out. Luckily, it hasn't happened since! -
I think it would depend which is easier for you to get to. I went with Aceves and had a great experience. It was easy for me to get to him. These are both very experienced surgeons with great reviews. I would say Aceves, but I'm partial

Soon To Be Sleevers With Big Dogs
Frza replied to KatieOkieDokie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a large, strong pitbull. She isn't a jumper but I was worried she would hurt me on our walks post-op. she likes to pull and I had to be careful to keep her on a short leash while walking. I also went out of my way to avoid squirrels and other dogs, just to be safe. -
Wow, that's an awesome loss!

Any Good (Trusted) Dr. In Mexico For Sleeve
Frza replied to chiki's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I chose Aceves and had a wonderful experience. I'd recommend him, his hospital, and his staff to anyone who is considering surgery in MX but is nervous. You'll feel safe & as comfortable as you can be. -

This Is A Disgusting Post, Please Only Readif You're Ok With Explicit Fces Talk!
Frza replied to slimshadee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Been there, it's horrible. I keep a disposable enema in hand for 911 situations. Sometimes you just can't wait for pills to kick in! The enemas have provided relief for me within 10-15 min. Also, I bet the nuts actually helped. I have almonds included as a regular snack and I swear they help keep me regular. I also add fiber to my shakes, oatmeal & applesauce to prevent constipation. Your graphic description made me giggle too- sorry! Now you can laugh at me: A couple years ago I had the worst constipation of my life. I went into a pharmacy in the middle of the night asking for advice. The pharmacist showed me lots of pills but I needed immediate relief. Eventually I confessed that it felt like there was a baseball stuck in butt ready to come out. The pharmacist said 'oh, OK!' And gave me the enema. -

Has Anyone Ever Driven To Mexicali For Dr Aceves?
Frza replied to Speedbump's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi! I'm going back to Mexicali for my checkup as well. I recommend you park in Calexico (US) side, walk across, then catch a can to Almater. Most car rental agencies will not allow you to take the vehicles across without special Mexican insurance. -
Sorry this happened to you. When I saw the post i was coming hereto ask if you are female and if the cramps could possibly be menstrual. Glad you went to get it checked out! Did you have a drain in the hospital after surgery?

I tend to eat leftovers that are pretty old sometimes more than 7 days. I've not experienced any illness from food, but I've always had an iron gut.
-
I use plain Greek yogurt out I always add fruit or berries to it. I especially like frozen mango chunks & the frozen dark cherries. I defrost the fruit, sprinkle with cinnamon and mix into my yogurt. Not super sweet, but cuts the taste of the Greek yogurt.

I'm about 8 weeks out and it didn't happen to me. I'm certain it won't either. I only experienced loose stools while in the liquids phase. Everything is back to normal at this point.

2 Week Pre-Op Diet - I Call Bullsh**t
Frza replied to cmf1267's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Isis this diet for 4 MONTHS!!! That right, no food the entire time. Shakes & sometimes broth if I wanted something savory or warm. I think that's why I never complained while on liquids pre / post sleeve.
