I'm addicted to Starbucks iced coffee! If that's as bad as it gets for me - I'm OK with that. I can/have become addicted to MANY really bad things and finally settled on food... before my band. Iced coffee-OK.

Is plastic surgery the answer?
maziemommy replied to ginger12/26's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Exercise can make your muscle bigger, to fill out some loose skin. I don't think it can shrink skin. Time and nature may do some shrinking. For the most part, I think, after a 100 pound loss, or more, we have streched the skin past what nature could repair. Good luck and great health to you. -
I bought some protein items from a body builder one day, and got the... who are you buying for? When I told him it was for myself, he looked confused at first, and then said.. It's never too late to get in shape, smiled and I left. He recognized me about -50 pounds later, and was very friendly and talked about protein and exercise with me for about 1/2 hour. Now I'm down 120 pound+ and I may stop in to say Hello! You should lose and then stop in to say FU.

Guacamole salad (no lettuce and no tomatoes).. goes down very well about the same time as a margarita. I don't usually eat/drink at the same time, but a tiny bit of food is not an issue for me, on those rare occasions. I have also use the companionship/visiting/catching up/talking... excuse after eating- I may "nurse" a drink for 1/2 hour - 1 hour before "hittin'" it hard, so to speak. lol goog luck. -
Wooooohooooo!

Granny let me know how this next fill works out for you? K?

My self pay was $17,000-$18,000.... in Springfield MO. It is cheaper for self pay (with my doc) than Ins. "cost"... they rarely pay the full "cost".

lol.... Ohhh to be 18 again? Congratulations on getting banded. Try not to compare your journey with hers too much.... she is so young. If I could only have done this when I was 18 my life would have been diff. Good luck and great health to you.-Both of you-. Kimberly -

Hi, I came here to ask a few questions...
maziemommy replied to Brad's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Brad- I think it's wonderful that you are checking this out. I'm very glad my fears never kept me from getting my band. I have lost 120 pounds in less than a year, and now I can play with my 2 year old. I can enjoy being outside with friends, and get some exercise too. I hope she has chosen a doc wisely, follows direction and gets lots of nutrition information and support. -Not just more diet advice-lol. Good luck to you, and her. -
