Thank you very much..BeverlyDiane. Mom sometimes goes online... but has not been on here in a long time. I am soooo excited for her. Dr. E. is so amazing. I have never felt healthier!!!! Good luck, and great health to everyone!

Great news for my Mom.... she is scheduled for her band July 14th! Finally. I hope she can do everything she needs to to make it work for her, like it has worked for me. Keep on posting everyone!!!!

I have worked hard to get from where I was... and here I am now... this is just where I'm at right now...it is different for us all.... 1...a month ago in the shorts from last year/2...two nights ago after driving 8 hours/3...and last summer at the lake

Jumping in with my 2 cents... My doc said- if you can "move around" at all - like not in a wheel chair, or bedridden... go BAND. I got Lap-band at 367 pounds... now 230 pounds and I feel great. Good luck to you all. Kimberly:thumbup:

Suzzie------ I'm here, but got some leaky roofs.... All the people I've checked on so far, are OK. I may get to got to the support meeting at the surgery center tomorrow evening. Anyone else going?

Margarita frozen- not anymore... for me... but on the rocks is fine. The frozen ones are soooo cold my band tightens up in like 2 seconds and than I can't even drink. It has sooo worth it to me. Message me if you want to know more -from my perspective. Kimberly

Hi MM. Sorry to hear you are disappointed. :tt2: My 2 cents :blush:would be that Dr. Edwards is worth the wait, if you have to wait. But, to be pro-active ....you should call Mary T. or voicemail her, and see if she can get you "penciled" in, before they start scheduling and re-scheduling others. You may want to remind her that your financing is already secured. :frown: As far as working, I don't know how active you must be at work... but I had a 1 year old to care for. He did such a great job, I was sleeping on my tummy(the only way I can sleep) day one, and caring for "Mazie" day 2. More time would be nice. But it was do-able. Self pay ------ as of 4-2-07 (my surgery date) was one year of free fills (and I got 6 of them). Everyone is different, I have heard one say she has had only 2 fills, and lost over 100 pounds. Good luck, and DO go to the seminar- it will answer tons of questions... take some paper to jot down questions for after the information. Most will get answered as he goes along, but he has always answered questions after too.
