Ditto Shellid! I am glad you're cheering up :-)

Lol thank you for this! Also I would add the vitamins I need to take spaced two hours apart five times a day! Geez :-D
-
My hubby finds mine on Amazon and ebay, lol!

I take the celebrate multi complete twice a day this includes iron and all the b's. For calcium I take the calcet citrate creamy bites three times a day which includes vit D. I also use the my med schedule app which texts me when its time to take them, they have to be spaced 2 hours apart.

I was up right away too. As soon as they wheeled me into my room i jumped up and put my clothes back on.! A little too hastily as I broke my iv thingy in my hand, thank the lord for pain meds. I rested for a few after that but was up and walking up and down the halls whenever I woke. I would definitely harass someone to let me walk if i wasn't able to do it on my own. Its important to move to help prevent blood clots. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I tolerated tomato fine, the only one I had issues with was the creamy tomato parm- it was too oily. I hope this helps.

I was cleared for full liquids my second week and tomato soup was the first thing I wanted and had! Also cream soups! So much better than broth.

Colon Cleanse please help
ambalam replied to Carol Watts's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know you were looking for a cleanse, but for getting fiber my doctor suggested chia seeds. Like the ones used on chia pets. Lol! They are a good source of fiber, natural, and go well in smoothies with a scoop of protein too! -
I drank two big glasses of water then my protein shake right after, it was within an hour all together and had the dreaded dumping syndrome. Not fun! Now I wait. :-)

I'm with you, I am having trouble with sleep too. I was sleeved 12/19. The first 6 night's I was in a recliner and didn't fall asleep until after 4am, no naps during the day and my youngest waking me up at 6 or 7am. It was a nightmare. The past couple nights I've fallen asleep about 11pm and only stay asleep until 3am then its up for the day. I've been trying to nap but its tough. I am hoping this is a short phase!!
-
I am in the exact same place with the obsessive weighing in. I was sleeved on 12/19 and have lost 11 pounds... Which is awesome, but for some reason I feel like I am falling behind some imaginary curve. I have my first post op tomorrow and I am praying I get a bit of encouragement from the doc.

Can't Wait To Divorce My Gall Bladder!
ambalam replied to jbart0973's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is coming out next week! I was hoping to have it out at the same time as my wls, but it is severely infected now and honestly I am in so much pain I just wait out!!!! I always joke that my stomach is trying to kill me, between the gall attacks and the diverticulitis it really feels that way sometimes. -
Keep Gaining Since Decided To Have Surgery
ambalam replied to StrongMommy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to gain just over 10 pounds for surgery. I gained the weight and then some. I am about a month out from surgery and finally have pulled myself together. They use a term here "food funeral" its true, it seems as though you'll never eat again after surgery- but you will. Don't be to hard in yourself now, just pick yourself up and get control!!
