Oh, thank God, I'm not the only one that feels this way. Having my 2nd fill today, but, so far I haven't noticed any restriction either. Hopefully, we'll all be in the "green zone" soon.
Is it normal to have these stomach/gas pains this long after surgery? My procedure was on Oct 5th and I was fine that 1st week...a little soreness but nothing major. But, OMG, that 2nd week the pains have been kicking my tail. I have been in so much pain from the gas that I am wondering if I made a mistake in having this surgery. Now I'm hearing that it could take up to 4 weeks for the this pain to go away. Is anyone else having this issue? Help?
Thanks for the replies everyone. My main issue was the pain in my stomach. I actually do have a high tolerance for pain; so for me to complain it really has been bothering me. I have been learning to how to eat & what foods don't work for me. I have also learned that I was waiting to long in between meals to eat....so hopefully, the pain will lessen.
Ok, for a moment I thought something might have been wrong...I'm mostly sore around the port area than where the band actually is located. Thanks for the clarification.
So sorry you were insulted by this unthinking idiot. Some people just don't think before they speak unfortunately. Rise above the stupid comments because thats what they are....stupid!
Day 6 post-op....still a little sore but doing pretty well. I go for post-op appt with the dr on monday & then back to work. Good luck to all my fellow October banders!
It's done. I'm officially banded as of yesterday. The pain hasn't been that bad. Surgery went smoothly and I'm a little sore. So, my question is what happens now? When do you start feeling like yourself? When do the fills start? So ready to get this weight off but we're going to do this the healthy way.
1 day post op. Ended up having to spend the night because my surgery got delayed by 3 hours, but, all in all, it wasn't a bad thing. Got some much needed rest & so far the pain has been tolerable. Thank God for pain pills, gas-x & heating pads.
Hope everyone is doing well!
