October List of Surgery's
SleeveandRNYchica replied to 60&goin4it's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did anyone have issues with their vision post surgery? My nearsighted vision was super blurry. It must have been the anesthesia. It is so much better today. -

I agree I don't think 2 weeks is enough for a labor intense job. I am still pretty store and I had surgery Wednesday. I just went to Walmart and I am so tired. -

Girl, you got the best NSVs lol (referring to your other post). You are having a great time. I am so happy they provided awesome customer service. I can't imagine shopping at VS and that it might be a bit intimidating to me. -

I am also confused on your vitamin regime. You said you take 1 chewable? Something doesn't add up. Do you have a nutritionist? Did they do a leak test post op? -
My husband just made me a peppermint shake he used premier vanilla shake, decaf instant coffee, nestle unsweet coco powder and peppermint extract. It is tasty and a great change from the norm

I find that tracking my vitamins and fluids makes it so much easier to keep track of my progress. Take your VITAMINS!

I'm having trouble with my water also, what I have been doing is adding unjury unflavored protein powder to a 20oz Powerade zero. Then I drink bottled water to get the rest of my fluids in for the day. I didn't think about adding the unflavored to my propel that is a great idea! Do u like the unjury unflavored? I got a sample of Matrix and Jay Robb to try. -
So thirsty all the time time!
SleeveandRNYchica replied to JudeaJordon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got home last night from revision surgery and have been sipping away. My goal is 64oz including my Protein that I mix with Water. I have the 8oz deer park individuals so I can easily tell how much I have drank. I am writing it all down so I can see my process. Also I write down if I liked the protein or not. I drink plain water and water with mio. I write down all my feelings too. If I drank to fast or if it feel sick. Which I have not gotten sick yet. It is a learning process for us all. You may want to try the fruity Protein drinks Matrix makes them I had the fuzzy navel today and it wasn't bad. It may help quench your thirst. -
My nutritionist say we can use extracts, I have not tried them but I want to.

Thank you. I am passing gas. But you are right about the hernia fix too. forgot about that. I was so out of it yesterday. I am not sure how much is gas vs pain from the inside. If that makes sense. I have been walking and I don't have gas in shoulders or anything. I got to meet a fellow October patient from this board and that was cool! -

So I am home, working on my 1st protein shake. I went to Vitamin shop and picked up samples. The Syntrex Nectar Chocolate truffle is yummy! I am still in a lot of pain. I am hooked up to an On-Q pain pump. It's hard coming home because my 16 month old is rough and likes to jump all over me. So trying to keep her at bay. -

I will be released from the hospital today. Yesterday was a bit rough. Today I am feeling much better. I have been walking and sipping. It is hard because I am just not interested in anything right now They were unsure how long my surgery would be since I am a revision patient. They said I did not have a lot of scar tissue. My doctor said I would be more sore than normal because they used some of the same entry points. As I was typing I passed GAS! I know tmi! I had a hard time going pee and was dehydrated yesterday. They fixed all that. I didn't eat much for my first meal yesterday and so they left the other stuff if I wanted to eat it. That did not happen. -

SleeveandRNYchica replied to Jenaenae84's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I made it through revision surgery. I woke up in a lot of pain but it seems more tolerable now. I had a hernia repair as well, so not sure if that is contributing to the pain. Honestly, I am hurting more than expected. I did not have this much pain with the sleeve. I know two different procedures. I am having trouble urinating, so they did a bladder scan. I have already walked and preparing to walk again. Since I have a history of nausea they gave me a patch behind the ear and are very understanding about how easy it is for me to get nauseous while walking. I have not had a drink in almost a 24 hours, so I am thirsty! I have mouth swabs. I will update on scar tissue and my VSG complications that were repaired once I speak to my surgeon. Thank you for your support! @@CHLOE12 how are you? Not sure if I missed your update.
