Sniff sniff....just heartbreaking. I think we all have our fat stories. The first embarassing one was in 3rd grade. ---I was at my grandma's and my aunt insisted that I need a bra. So she went to buy these training bras and none of them fit. Mind you I did not have tits! It was just fat. I remember it like it was yesterday. ---Around 5th grade, my younger brother fights our neighbor for calling me fat. I couldn't even stand up for myself. ---Cerca 2001, Busch Gardens, Roller Coaster, Sweat Shirt tied around my waist I weighted @ 240#. I was kicked off because the bar didn't come down far enough. The girl infront of me said, try tacking your sweat shirt off. She was so sweet but I was so humilated. I was with my ex-bf at the time. I have to say one of the sweetest things I do remember is 7th grade gym. I think his name was Richard. When it was time for us to do our laps around the gym, he would run with me. He would also cheer me on for pull ups. I was the chunky kids, but he was awesome. It was still embarrassing that I couldn't run a mile. end sniff sniff

As I stated early it is not the only reason I deactivated. OTR Sleever makes very good points. Honestly I am just sick of facebook, it takes the personal feeling from relationships. And then like OP's issue every now and then u have someone post or say something that is not appropriate. I don't believe facebook is a great forum to debate political and religious views. I have seen enough posts in the past month about Chick-fil-a and Gaby Douglas. So yes, I deactivated then no one can even see my page.

I just deativated my FB account for several reasons, but one was to have some privacy during "my" time. I have been known to delete people at the drop of dime that don't me anything to me and the only reason we are connected is because of the internet. People use FB as a forum for things I do not think it was meant to be. I really don't need someone from high school up in my business that I haven't seen since 1993..... Any who, enough about my FB rant, but I would DELETE her azz......

I feel the same way, after finding out about the sleeve and all the research the bypass is not for me. However, I think so many people just lump all WLS together. Not understanding the differences.

Thank you. I am just glad that I was supportive of my friends that went that route and in that why not hypocritical. I am so excited for my lifestyle change and I think once you get to that point, it is easy not to care so much what others think. I have a husband and mother that are so amazing and supportive.

Mine has learned his lesson on slipping up! I doubt he will make the same mistake twice :-)

Honestly, I don't really feel people have to know, especially co-workers and acquaintances. So for them they get the eat less, exercise more and seeing the NUT response. I do not want my husband's family to know because the don't like me and can be just plain mean and frankly I don't like them. There is one person that means alot to me and I am worried about telling her. She is so anti-surgery. But I have decided I will tell her after the fact and not before. I dont' feel like hearing the negativity. At that point if she loves me as my friend she will stick by me. She has been a very important person in my life and I would like to keep in that way. However if she shuns me then I guess are relationship is not what it seems.

See and I had a breast reduction and I thought it was a breeze. The worst was my reaction to the morphine. It took a week to get it out my system. I didn't even use the vicotin they gave me. I just think we all have different pain tolerences.

I used the nuvaring but did not like it. It thru my cycle off and gave me a yucky discharge. Of course this is all presurgery. My hubs and I use the old fashion condom route. I just never liked to take BC. I haven't used it since I was 23. Except for me trying the nurvaring in 2008.

I heart Kohl's. They have great sales! Congratulations. Yeah, don't buy too much because you will be another size or two down in no time. I am fortunate I have stuff in my closet from 16-22 that will last me for a bit.

You are a very pretty girl. You were pretty before you surgery. I hate when people tell me awww you have such a pretty face, so I would never say that!!! You just have a smile that seems infectious. Do you think your attitude has changed?

Yeah, I travel internationally alot and I am so sick of flying and being uncomfortable. On our last flight on Delta to JFK (RED EYE) we were in bulk head. Those seats don't have arm rest. They are divided by a metal barrier and the drink table is inside the divider. OMG, can I just tell you how uncomfortable that flight was. I was emotional and drained. I am just sick of it. So can totally relate. I get nervous everytime I fly, like is someone gonna say something to me....it is mortifying. But what gets me is that lady. She had a damn nerve!

How did your incisions heal?

The surgeon gave me an order for all the necessary labs, ekg, bone density scan, echocardiogram, and endoscopy. After I did that his secretary then made my appt for NUT, PSYCH, and endocrindologist. I will then meet with the surgeon again. They wanted to make sure I am healthy etc, before approving me on the surgeons side. Then I will send it to insurance.

I actually like my waist and stomach area, but I do say that about my thighs!

They have Tim Hortons in Ohio, can I just tell you those are the best dang on mini donuts I have ever eaten! I will not tell you how many we ate driving from Ohio to VA.... Sorry off topic but I just had to chime in on the T.H!
