    Dumped... 2 Weeks Pre-Op

Yes, you are better off without him. What if u were married and tough times arise? Do u think he would jump ship? U don't need or want a guy like that in ur life, trust me. It is an amazing feeling having a man stand by ur side and he is sincere in his support. U r making life changes. U will be stronger for it and u will find someone who loves and supports u no matter what!

    Cooking After The Sleeve

That it is, I would say....wow! I am hoping to get my surgery done this month so I have some time. I think the holiday's is a tough time, but if you can get through that you will def. master your sleeve!
  8. I normally cook my family's big meals. Christmas, Thanksgiving, & Easter. Everything from mac and cheese, to cream corn, & fresh green Beans and tomotoes. I am not a chef by any means and I have learned to cook throughout the years. My husband enjoys my cooking. For those of you post-sleeve. Do you still enjoy cooking for others? Have you modified the way you cook for holiday dinners? I find that when I do make these larger meals, I hardly eat just from being tired of cooking all day anyway. We are traveling to the US this Christmas and I will be the one to cook more than likely. I am just wondering if I will want to.

    Cooking After The Sleeve

I do not see me changing a thing. It is rare occasion to actually cook so much at one time and I enjoy it. I like to bake as well. Every Christmas Eve I bake cookies with our six year old. I was just wondering emotionally how I would do. My mom asked me am I gonna be okay around all that food. I told her I will be able to eat just less.

    What Are Friends For...no Support

Let's just face it WLS is a very personal decision. If you tell someone something they are gonna give their opinion. You know what they say, "Opinions are like assholes everyone has one and they all smell!" Even if you don't ask for their opinion they will still feel the need to give it because that is what friends do. So you will ultimately have friends that support you and friends that don't. If you guys are friends you should be able to tell her you respect her position, but you are going forth with your decision. If she is your true friend she will still be your friend after the surgery. You just need to know you may have to find support elsewhere. I am sure we have all been in relationships and we do not agree with something the person does or doesn't do. However, a real friend will still be there even if they think the person is making a mistake. I opted not to tell my friends because I don't want to hear all the opinions and advice. I think I have beat myself up enough about my situation and my decision. This is not an easy process and not one to take lightly. It is an emotional roller coaster.

    Not Eating And Gaining...

The one thing I have read on here is you must try to get to your calorie goal. That could hold you back or stall you. You know what and I have always said this, "You can change being fat, ugly you can't change." Did your husband have issues with you having the surgery that you know of?
  16. You both look awesome! Congratulations. I love to hear when the spouses join in and not only offer their support, but benefit from the surgery as well.

Are you getting your fluids in? Pre-surgery were your a non-eater when stressed or where you a stress-eater?

    Explain Your Name!

I have lived in South America for four years. It is common here for us to call each other chica. "Hi, Chica, See you Later Chica, What you been up to Chica?" It is really a term of endearment. So SleevenChica was born.

    Not Eating And Gaining...

I am really sorry to hear that you husband is cheating on you. I am sure no time is the right time to find out; however, your hormones are already out of wack due to your surgery. I have not had surgery yet, but I have read many posts about women spotting and have more than one period in a month. I don't think it is uncommon at all after surgery. Your body has gone through a major change and it is trying to figure things out. I know you are going through a rough time and it is easier said than done, you have to make this about you. I honestly believe that there are many spouses (man or women) that have issues when their spouse has WLS. However, those are their issues and if they are not willing to open up and talk about it what can you do? Right now your priority is healing and getting yourself well. Again, easier said than done. I am just so sorry you are going through this.
