Approvals with BCBS Federal
SleeveandRNYchica replied to rln52's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I called precertification dept today. It looks like my file was just reviewed today and I have been approved. According to the rep, the dr. just looked at it this afternoon and it has not been sent back to nurse yet to be further processed in the system. I was submitted on 9/11. So I just have to wait for them to send the information back to my drs office. -

After having my sleeve I started the couch to 5k. There are various apps to get you started, but I thought that one was great. Good luck! -

SleeveandRNYchica replied to 395Ron's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am good! Pending insurance approval it was submitted 9/11. So it looks like I will not be a Fair Oaks with you, probably will be there the following week. I am really ready to meet with my surgeon to discuss some of my concerns since this is a revision. I really need to write them down so I don't forget a thing! -

yesss the pear lol. But yea if it wasn't for my jeans becoming loose I wouldn't be able to tell. My thighs still seem huge to me. I see a little excess skin there .. Not a lot but yea I do feel like the bottom half is going to take awhile .. Yep, the hips don't lie! That's what I tell my husband lol. Being pear shaped has it's advantages! You are progressing beautifully. -

I see it too! You are pear shaped like me. I noticed the weight moved slower off my lower half! What is your experience? You look great! -

@@sweettooth2015 The 2 week liquid diet is really tough, especially since we have to use Bariatric Advantage and can't mix anything (like fruit) with it. But, I see the end in sight. I feel slightly weak and foggy-brained, and OMG the gas! But overall I am feeling ok. Excited and nervous. Is it just shakes? Can we have hot tea? I heard the rooms are private. If you find out can you share! I wish you the best of luck -

Approvals with BCBS Federal
SleeveandRNYchica replied to rln52's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So BCBS is showing it was submitted on the 11th. I was told it was going in on 3rd or 4th. So either it took BCBS that long to get it in their system or my drs office just submitted.... Either way it is looking like even the 14th of October is pushing it. -

I am honestly not worried about being too skinny. Losing weight with the sleeve was very difficult. I lost about 53lbs 10 of those were pre op from my surgery 10/1 to August. It was excruciating. I saw it in the photos but the scale was defiant. I was working out a lot and developed plantar fasciitis. I am pear shaped and from what I read the fat is a bit harder to lose. Whatever you decide it takes hard work and dedication. After all the work with my sleeve I don't expect it to be an easier journey just different.
