You probably have a copay. I surprised they didn't tell you about shake and all those cost upfront as those are the surgeons requirements and not so much the insurance. -

@babb2299 that's right, I lived in Norfolk for undergrad. No my dr did not have me lose weight. Actually I have gained about 7lbs. -

Yeah! Our insurance rocks!!!! So mine took 6 business days. However, they didn't even look at it the 1st 5 days. It went in on the 11th and I called 21st. The rep told me that the dr. just got it that day and approved it. I really think the key is having a good insurance coordinator. Mine wanted my packet to be very detailed. I think that keeps the insurance from coming back asking more questions holding up the process. @@babbs2299 keep us posted! Where are you guys again? -

I had my preop and Monday I go I for abdominal sonogram, lab work and EKG. I picked up by Bariatric Advantage. Pre op diet starts on 10/7. My surgery is at 1 pm. My husband has decided to do green smoothies with me and will fast I my day prior to surgery with me. He did all this with me the 1st go round. He was like 1pm surgery, we are gonna need prayer! I went in with a list of questions and he answered each one. He was very reassuring. -

See how nervous I was I wrote your name wrong! Thanks for the response. I have heard the Vitamin situation is hard in the beginning. What to take when, when to drink, no Iron with Calcium (I think) it is all so confusing. My dr's office makes you by a vitamin pack from them initially. I have my preop today with tons of questions! I don't have my next NUT appt until the 10th. I can understand the nervousness and excitement. -

I was approved, my surgery is 10/21. I have preop tomorrow. BCBS approved a 7 day stay which has me freaked out a bit. -

I think the surgeons office tries to collect sufficient information for approval process. I know with my revision my office want proof that I complied to previous surgery. Luckily i had all my post op nut visits with measurements and weigh ins. It was not a requirement but helped in the process. -

I did not have to fill that out. I just had to tell them what diets I did in the past. Are you sure that is not your surgeon? -

That's great That's my date as well maybe we will see each other in the halls. What time is your surgery? I get my preop on thirsday I meet with my surgeon Thursday. I am not sure of time, coordinator told me she would send it to me via email. I was holding on to hope for the 14th. She said the 4th of Nov. I was like nooooo!!! I wanna to cry, cuz my first tentative date was 10/7, then 10/14. -

That is great!!! I am having sleeve to bypass revision on Monday, 9/28/15. I have BBS Fed Basic insurance. Good Luck with your upcoming surgery:-) Please keep me posted! I would love to know how it goes for you. What prompted your revision? I did email Alex to ask to a sleeve revision board. It seems like there are more of us. -

They have silicone pads/sheets you can put on or there is a gel. I lived in South America so it was not a US brand and worked wonders. It's seems like in the US people use the scar away brand.

Three of mine keloided and are dark. I should have used silicone early out but initially they were flat and look liked they would heal great.... Not! I am of mixed race and my cousin is white and tends to keloid. Although it is more common in darker skin, it is better to take precautions. I did not start to have keloids until my early 20s and my csection scar did not. Try the silicone it worked wonders on a cyst I had removed on my temple.

@proudgrammy, my 5 month surgiversary would have been in 2013. I have posted my sleeve story on my page but in a nut shell my sleeve is angulated or twisted. I also have horrible Gerd. All this developed post pregnancy. I have had to have endoscopy and barium swallow and my surgeon believes best course of action is revision. Also my weight loss stalled @Threetimesacharm 10/21 is my day.
