Did You Keep Your Surgery A Secret?
yourshoesareuntied replied to KanesMom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me it was easy to tell the people around me, my wife, mom and cousin are all nurses another cousin is a surgeon I work in the medical field and in a hospital. The people in my clinic are all rather close even the ones I don't much care for are all wishing me the best. My friend actually was the one who talked me into it and has paid for a large portion of my co-pay. With out his support this would never have happened. He said its a selfish thing he's doing... He just wants his buddy to be around when he's in his 60's. -
Did You Keep Your Surgery A Secret?

I thought it would be fun to keep it a secret, but I can't keep my mouth shut. Good thing I'm not a criminal mastermind... Although I normally kept my past diets a secret so I could avoid all accountability, and so I could fail in secret too. This deal is different and I know I will need the support of all my friends family and co-workers. -

Thank you for the nice welcome -
My thoughts are the less fat we carry the less estrogen we will have in our system, less estrogen = more man like feelings and less interference with our body's ability to deliver testosterone. Also recent study's have shown that zinc and magnesium help increase testosterone , the study showed that people that added exercise with the zinc and magnesium had larger increase compared to people that only took the supplements.

Excessive fat produces estrogen, that is to say fat cells can and do produce estrogen. Estrogen will bind to testosterone receptors in the brain that signal for the body to produce more testosterone, when estrogen binds to the testosterone receptor it does not activate that receptor. Thus leading to low T and high E. From what I have read men with symptoms of low T but test normal may actually have high E levels.

Wal-Mart “Dri-Star” they have sizes that fit bigger guys, about half the cost of Under Armor.. I would like Under Armor but they mostly like skinny people. The Wal-Mart brand is good for now and It works great for me. -

Lap Band And Your Manly Man Friends
yourshoesareuntied replied to TexasJeff's topic in The Guys’ Room
Ahh hunting buddies are normally very good friends. Just because he's a good friend doesn’t mean he can't be an ass. Next deer season just show him who the better man is by walking in further, and dragging your own deer out while get's the ATV and sled. Hunting can be a real endurance challenge; I can’t wait to fit into my camo coveralls I bought a few years ago and have some extra space. Last deer season I hiked across hells half acre, I'm sure the deer could hear me breathing a mile away!
