Go Nuts !!!!!!!!!! That's what my doctor told me anyway ......and I did!
-
The thing with alcohol is that it can hide huge amounts of calories and unless you know exactly how many calories sit on your mojito, chances are that you're consuming more than you think, plus it sucks to workout the next day. I'm not saying not to go out and have fun but be aware that you're gonna have to workout or eat extra clean the rest of the week in order to compensate and still lose weight.

Thinking of my options
Cooper123 replied to adugan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
they're not mutually exclusive. You can do Zumba some days and go to the gym some other days. As a matter of fact, you can exercise anywhere specially at the beginning. It's up to you. -
When we lose weight, we get smaller all around but we keep our same body structure(type). That is why it's so important to mix your cardio with your weight training because that will reshape your body by building muscles and losing fat at the same time.

I wouldn't worry about it, it sounds like you're doing everything right and you WILL lose weight even if you plateau for a while, just keep doing what your doing. We've all been trough this. Keep us posted.

My port incision is infected :(
Cooper123 replied to Brandy Hunter-Lee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine got infected too. No big deal, my doctor made a small incision and drained the puss. Antibiotics for a week and cleaning the wound daily with peroxide and alcohol. It healed just fine. Good luck Brandy. -
Hi Curvy, It is very normal, and it's also normal that you might gain some weight the first month....I did and that's because you most likely don't have any restriction yet. So don't panic and just try to follow your doctor's intructions as much as you can and you'll be fine. Keep exercising, it feels great !!!

Is this how the band feels?
Cooper123 replied to Blondie638's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that being only three weeks out you still haven't had your first fill and therefore you have very little or no restriction yet. I think it is normal to be hungry during this period but the good thing is that it will get easier as you get your fills. Good luck and hang in there. -

New! Trying To Decide If This Is Right For Me!
Cooper123 replied to HBanana's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Hbanana, I congratulate you for taking charge of your life and facing your problem head on. and you have your age on your side. Talk to your surgeon or if you can several surgeons, they will give you a better perspective on what procedure to choose from. It all depends on your weight, your age, your health and what you will feel more comfortable with, be honest with your doctor and with yourself and once you make a decision, give it 100% I really hope you make the right decision and wish you the best, I will be more than glad to share my experiences and you're definitely in the right place -

How Long Did It Take You?
Cooper123 replied to Dobiegh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess it depends on your insurance and your Surgeon's office. Also you have to do some blood work and perhaps some extra tests. there is also the psychological test. An probably the two week liquid diet pre-op. Remember that this is a long journey and that you will have to change your habits for life, give yourself some time to reflect on what is coming and to be in the right set of mind for it. You will find out that time is not that important. Don't rush it, you will only increase your anxiety level. I really wish you the best on your journey, good luck! -
Hi guys, Count me in, I like my band because it's a great tool, but you have put the effort, to me exercising is the key, helps me burn calories faster and makes me feel sooo good, also it gives me something to do instead of being home alone. Going dancing is also great!!

Hi there! I also have an 11cc band and I have 7cc already. I feel the restriction alright, If I don't chew correctly or eat to fast, I really pay for it. but it wasn't until thi last fill that I felt the restrictio. Now, everyone is different so you might feel it way before that. good luck!
