Height, Weight, And Size Poll
chris1177 replied to LeaveItToSleever's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
35 yrs old 5'2" start weight was 284lbs I am 6 months post op and down to 207lbs Wore size 22/24 and can now squeeze into a 16, which feels so good!! I am not exercising as much as I should, but going to get that back on track, once I do, I think I will see faster results. July 2013 will be a year and my goal is to be down another 40lbs at least. I am noticing the extra skin big time, so hitting the gym is a must!!! Good luck all!! -

Hi I am 35yr old 5'2" date of surgery July 18th 2012, weight on day of surgery 284 pounds and wore a 22/24 or 2X today 17 weeks later I am 221 pounds and a size 18 or XL, I can fit into some 16's Yayy!!!! I am a slow loser but I need to work out more, if I did that, I would lose faster, but I am still happy with my progress!!! -
Hi all, so we are in week 4, as of last Wednesday I was only down 17 at a stall and haven't been in scale since, my clothes are getting looser though, my bra fits better so of course I would lose there first...so I will go back on scale on Wednesday and hopefully this stall will be over!!! I'm not fustrating myself by going on every day though... I'm doing good with foods, not getting enough protein though, I can't stand any of the shakes I've tried so many... I'll check back in on wednesday our official 4 week surgerversery

Any July 17Th Sleevers Or Close To That Date
chris1177 replied to ImprovedDreamerGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on July 18th and lost 17 pounds in the first 2 weeks, I have not lost anything since, I guess week 3 was a stall, I added soft solids, I'm in week 4 now and I'm hoping when I weigh again on Wednesday it will go down. I'm not excersizing as much as I should, just hard working full time and single mom to find the time. Is there anyone else who experienced the stall, I'm getting very depressed like this was a waste of time, and I am only getting in about 400-600calories compared to the 2000-3000 before hand. Highest weight 280, lost 10 pre-op and 17 since surgery, now 253. I hope this stall doesnt last a long time!! -
Any of my other fellow July 18th sleevers in a stall, I'm down 16 since day of surgery and the scale has been staying still!!! I'm nervous!!!

Wow things got a little touchy touchy on this board, but to the original post, I was on clear liquids 1 week post op and regular liquids for week 2 and then week 3 soft/puréed foods. I am going to admit that instead of waiting the full 2 weeks, I started soft solids a couple of days before my 2 weeks were up. I was away for the weekend and went out to a restaurant. It went down fine but I felt very guilty afterwards. I've been in my 3rd week since Wednesday and have been at a stall not losing a pound, and a part of me is feeling so mad at myself thinking it was starting softs a couple days early, did that hurt me? Did that stretch my stomach already? Did I just do all of this for nothing? Then I called my doc and he explained to me that it's fine, I didn't hurt anything, and that since I started solids my body is adjusting and a stall in week 3 is normal... What I'm getting at is none of us are perfect, you did what you did so now you should call the doc and see if u can continue your soft foods or ask him where to go from there!! You have it in you to do this, I believe we all do!!! It's nice to come on here and see other people experiences but when push comes to shove, we are all different and deal with things differently!! So really my advice is call your doc and see where you should go from here!!!! I'm sure you'll end up doing awesome!!! I hope I do also!!!

How Much Have U Lost Since You Were Sleeved?
chris1177 replied to Christina760's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Surgery 7/18 and lost 14 in 2 weeks, I'm in week 3 and seems since I started soft solids I've been at a stall or up a pound then down a pound. Hope the loss starts up again. All these posts and how much people have lost, I hope I get there!!! Good job all!!! -
How's everyone doing, I'm on puréed food and I feel so much more normal, Being able to chew, I get full super fast like after 5 or 6 bites and have to stop for a half hour but that's why I did this, I love it!!! Since the 18th I am down 14 pounds, so about a pound a day which if that's the case I'll take it!! But I haven't been excersizing yet so u think that's why it's not going faster. On liquids I just had no energy at all, I walked 1 or 2 days. So now I can have eggs and oatmeal and other good stuff so hopefully I'll be up and walking today. Here are some stats Started pre-op 7/11 weighed 280 Date of surgery 7/18 weighed 269 Today 7/30 weigh 255 Love to see how everyone else is doing

Hey all my fellow July 18th sleevers, let's have an update!!! One week out and I lost 12 pounds since surgery, on full liquids and enjoying that so much more than clear!!! Getting most of my fluids. I am able to drink about 4oz of water about every half hour and I make soups and can only have about 1/4 of it before I am full and I love that feeling of being able to stop eating and push it away. Before hand I would finish it even if I was full!! Although I do feel like I am wasting more food Love to hear how everyone else is doing and what you all are eating
