I am from New Orleans as well. Had my sleeve done on July 26th. Been on nothing but Clear Liquids since. Mainly flavored Water, sugar free Popsicles, and crystal light. Today I was able to take in black coffee and begin prescript fit chicken Soup. I have my 1 week post op doctor's visit tomorrow. According to my plan, I should be able to incorporate Protein shakes starting on Thursday. Except for day one I've been pain free. No feelings of hunger or cravings. At the same time, I have not had a lot of full feelings. Looking forward to the eventual small quantities of regular food but also nervous about how it's going to go down. Good luck with your sleeve and Congrats.

Hey Gang! First Post.

Hang in there Aaron. I have a very similar story. I'm a 37 year old male. I weighed in at 382 before my preop diet but I know for a fact I've been as high as 391. I currently worth 369 since the start of the preop diet (which is tough as you know). I get sleeved on Thursday. We are all in this together. Good luck on your journey. I see a great future for both of us. PS: I'm just one state over on LA. -
Good luck. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have done all of my preop duties and I'm waiting for my surgery date to be scheduled. I too feel without this procedure my life may be cut short.

My Story: Short Fat Italian
Honey Bear replied to gustavo52974's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have a very similar story. Same age, height and body type. Always easy to gain muscle but even easier to gain weight. I also have sleep apnia. My weight is a bit more than yours was and I'm Irish not Italian. Other than that, remarkable similarities. My insurance is not coveting a penny. However, my desire to live has compelled me to seek private financing. All of my preliminary work is done. I am now just waiting for a surgery date. Thank you for your story. It has helped convince me I have made the correct decision. -
I am early into the process. Last Friday I hade my visit with the nurse practitioner and took the psych eval (I passes). Preop blood work was Saturday. Today I started my preop diet. Have to get cleared for anestesia by my general practitioner this Thursday. Looks like I will meet with the surgeon to schedule the big day (no pun intended). I'm a not too nervous about the procedure. Actually excited. What I am nervous about is that some technicality is gonna pull the floor out from under me.
