That's been my experience.

The Best Thing about Lap Band and New Years
Wgbem replied to Mayasgram's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with you all. I went to the gym this afternoon and for the first year in life I will not be joining a gym as a New Year's resolution. Going to the gym is just what I do. Happy New Year All!! -
I think you feel this way because of the stage of life you are in. Been there done that. My kids are now college age so I am not running after kids so I can move my energy to other things. It will get better.

WATCHING THE BIGGEST LOSER
Wgbem replied to MsRhonda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not sure what you mean but the Lapband, I my opinion is not a detour or an easy way out. It takes a lot of work to stay committed. If we do not do the right thing there are health consequences . We have to work hard so feel good and be thankful you have made this choice for your life. Stay strong! -
Hit my first mini goal...well kinda!

Yes congrats -
I went to the spa today and for the first time (have not been in a year) the robe closed all the WAY. Also went to Macy's today and was able to buy a pair of jeans from there, size 22. I think I wore that at BIRTH! I love my BAND!!!
-
It is also nice to have it to share with people who truly understand where I am coming from. Yes, it was a nice feeling and that is only with 34 lbs off. I can't wait until I can double that. It is just so freeing.
-
Yes, you are also showing us that this is continued work and the band is not the only solution. We have to continue to work hard to he successful. Good luck to you.

In the hospital-AGAIN! so frustrated!!
Wgbem replied to Peaceful1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is common post surgery, as stated above, from the anesthesia and pain meds. Adequate iud intake, stool softeners, and increased activity will be things you need to agresssively pursue once you are home. We are praying for you. -
I agree with you. Married 22 years and with this weight loss I feel GREAT! Sex is better than it has EVER been.

How much weight have you loss? -
I have 8cc in a 10cc band. I was banded in September this year and really am so thankful.

Under fluro means under fluoroscopy. It is done in interventional radiology so they can visualize the port. Be careful though because I had a co-pay of $150 to get it done that way. I had it once and once only and now my doctor can feel it.

What is this "full" feeling when I haven't even eaten?

no more restriction after second fill?
Wgbem replied to TO-Banded's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my 4th fill and am just feeling good restriction. Thank God I did because it was very limiting and great during the holiday. I am at 8 cc and while I can eat and drink, I am really restricted. I am so happy about it but it took a minute to get there. -
That is great Rhonda. It will get better.

Is it the right choice. Ugh
Wgbem replied to sommers4977's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was just banded September 24th and understand your frustration but still think it is the best thing I ever did. What happened to the 60 pounds you lost at weight watchers? Did you keep it off? I didn't but feel I have a better chance of permanent success. I say be patient. You did not gain this weight overnight so don't expect it to come off overnight. Good luck and keep us posted. -
I take CVS spectravite chewable, vitamin D 2000 IU and a Vit. B 12 that dissolves under the tongue.
-
I think is so great these hubby and wife banding. Do you ever get concerned that one will have a greater loss than the other or will be more successful? Just curious about the counseling related to this.
-
I was banded in September and today I had my first "stuck " episode. How do you soothe yourself after that? I felt like I had the worst heartburn ever. That has passed but now I think I irritated my stomach.
-
I use the app Lose It! That is how I track.

Discomfort after stuck episode
Wgbem replied to Wgbem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
With lapband there is definitely a way to eat do we have to retrain ourselves. I am really trying to be conscious of how I eat. It is a journey, that is all I can say.
