Its not fair..... My heart is broken

Oh honey I'm so sorry for your loss!!

    I miss food!

It is so normal to mourn food. I got so mad at my family for being able to eat normally... until I had a stern chat with myself that I did this to me... they did not do this. Hang in there. I will pass, it is just the normal progression of how things go. Try chewing ice chips, sleep, read.. anything to get your mind off of it. There is no magic cure to make the feelings go away just have to find another way to channel it.

    Gained the weight back

macaw... this just made my heart break and is one of my greatest fears. Please go back and see your surgeon or at least a nutritionist. You can get back on track. Remember the struggles you had to get this surgery and how good it felt to be smaller. Take it one pound at a time. Remember you will always have a support system here. Good luck!!! Also, you might want to start logging what you are putting in your mouth on my fitness pal now so that whomever you decide to go see can have something to look at as far as your daily intake. You might be surprised as well at some of the choices you are making. 13 years is a long time and I know that the surgery is basically the same with some tweeks.. maybe a re-do might be an option!! Hugs your way

    So emotional. Ugh!

I went thru this emotional roller coaster crap too.... Im a crier anyway... but ten times worse for about 2 months. My husband and boys just didnt know what to make of it. It is a crazy time for sure!!
  10. Food is such a part of most families. I can remember if my daughter got sad I was like lets go get a chocolate shake... like food always makes things better. I have moments where I am like ... give me something.... thank god I cant eat like I used to with this onery pouch of mine. I have found... as strange as this may seem... that talking a power walk helps. I put my head phones on and just go!!! Gotta find another alternative even tho the temptation is still there!!

    Lady Business.

Its the hormones being released from the fat. I went thru it for about 8 months. I did see my ob gyn because your iron levels do get low. I had an ablation done. It didn't stop the periods but they are however lighter and more manageable. Hang in there

    Support

If you havent taken them to a doctors appointment with you I would encourage you to do so. Even if you have already been to a seminar, have them go to one with you. It seems people are so uneducated about the procedure and its life long benefits that they are automatically negative. Education is key and the more people you have behind you the better. Consider it your mission to rally the troops.. you can do it.

    Friday Weigh-In!

date of surgery 02-21-12. Date of surgery weight 340 lbs Todays weight 149 lbs Total lost 191 lbs. I am really not trying to lose. Was comfortable in the 150's... but moved this last week and the stress of it had me dropping 5 lbs... ugh... can see the bones in my chest now... not very attractive. Trying to increase my intake Never thought I wouldnt want to lose weight in my whole life

    How do I respond?!?!

kiwi... I tell everyone too... I have lost 191 freakin pounds.... how the hell do you think I feel.... on top of the damn world. I want to tell everyone how I did it... it has been that life changing. So much so that I almost get weepy when I think how unhappy I was in my old body. I love the new me... I love the tool that was given to me...if I can inspire one person who is walking in the shoes I was walking in then it is a gift I will happily share. For those who dont want to give the details... you are an inspiration in the way you have changed your life .. so much so that they are asking how you did it.

    Feeling some kind of way!

Terry.. I did the same thing... cream of soup and just added powder to it. You have to try and get as much protein as you can right now... your body needs it to heal!!!!

    Vacation

You are doing so well... very proud of you!!!

is it normal to have second thoughts!

You answered your own question... by the things you want to be able to do. You will lose friends and relationships change because alot of people cant handle how good you are going to look and feel. It has been a roller coaster ride for me for sure but I wouldnt change a thing. I will tell you that about 3 weeks in... typically we go thru that mourning of the food we cant have... and you will probably go thru the stage of wishing you had not had the surgery then too... all normal. Haha... you are normal!!!! Good luck girlie

Need a boost getting back in the saddle

Ok.... what have you been doing to get off track? Remember eat protein first... it will fill you up. Start tracking what you put in your mouth... every bite... and move your butt. You got this!!
