Can't Do The Puree!
kristy3k replied to his_only_mrs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ate every soup I could lay my hands on. I dont know how to make soups for one so I ended up looking at the premade ones for the highest protein content. Bean soup has a good consistancy, good taste and high protein. Hang in there this stage will not last long but you need to follow the guidelines so that you can heal. -
seriously was telliing my daughter this weekend that I am still wearing the same underwear from 114 lbs ago... looks like I have a pile of crap in my pants.lol!! I bought 2 pair of capris size 18 and 4 extra large shirts to wear to work and now they are too big... but I like most of you hate buyiing until I get where I need to be. I know I look bigger when I wear clothes that are too big for me. So its a catch 22. Definatly need to get some new underwear tho- :-)

I had not heard this... sniff!!! I need some smaller stuff right now, I guess I'll hit them up and say goodbye!!

I sometimes wonder if the goal I picked is realistic or not. I have been a "big" girl for over 20 years so dont know if I am setting myself up for failure or not. I have set a goal weight but it isnt set in stone. I am just gonna see where this wild ride takes me and go from there. Honestly just want to weigh what my drivers license says I weigh! ha!!

I love seeing pics of people who have had surgery.... smiles everytime.... you look like you are having a ball!!!!

I am six months post op and am lucky to get 800 calories a day. Still never hungry. But I focus on my protein first. On the up side I am fully satisfied as far as my hunger goes which is a blessing as I never knew that feeling before!!
-
You can do this!!!! I would suggest seeing a nutritionist and having them put you on a nutritional program geared for you and the weight loss you desire so that you can have surgery. Good luck hun!!

It's only the beginning. Good luck and hang tough!!

I think it's normal to have feelings like this. I will say it does get better... No consolation at this point I know... But hang in there girls!
-
It's normal. My periods are heavier since surgery 6 months ago.

Hope most of you have the day off!!! If you do get out there and do some sort of exercise. It's gonna be a great day!! :-)

kristy3k replied to aBetterRay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well congrats!!! I too can't get beyond just walking... Those damn endorphins never really do kick in for me. :-). But my daughter has decided to enlist in the airforce and is on an exercise kick and so as a show of support I'm going to start some weight training... Ugh how I dread it!! -
I have the same issues... And I 6 months out. Rotisserie chicken from the Walmart deli is my friend. I peel back the skin and the chicken is so moist. I can still eat very little but at least it's protein and I can get it down. Good luck

I know right... Secretly hated my friends that have said that my whole life :-) -
I have kept up with your posts and know that this would be a very loving gesture between you and your mom. Might help bridge the gap. I say go for it!!!

Anyone Weigh Around 400Lbs
kristy3k replied to normz956's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to lose pretty close to 200... I started at 340 and want to be 165. I had surgery feb 2012 and am down 113 lbs... I have a weight tracker app on my phone it's been nice to watch it go down from 175 to lose to now 65. It's been a great ride watching my body change but more importantly my attitude. I'm happy and there is no other feeling like it. I keep thinking now... What's it gonna feel like to be that girl who is struggling to lose that last 5 lbs...can't wait to gripe about that... Lol!!! It can be done ladies... Let's do it!!!! -
Hi Kelly... We are glad you are here!!!
-
You need to change your name because you are fluffy lady no more.... Great job!!!!
-
I'm just walking right now but I'll be interested as to what responses you get. I have been wanting to add done weight training too.

It's surreal to get compliments. Kinda freaks Me out a little bit. Not used to it and I usually don't know how to respond.
