What am i forgetting?
kristy3k replied to SoccerMomma73's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sounds like you got it all. They will give you non slip socks in the hospital. Hopefully you will get some rest tonight. Take whatever pain meds they offer. Walk as soon as you can. Good luck girlie!! -
I wore mine til they just fell off. Finally took my clothes to good will. I have gotten a few things at the consignment store. My mom gave me a gift card to dress barn for my birthday and christmas but the clothes I bought there are already falling off... so my suggestion is to not buy new til your at goal weight. Unless its for a special occassion. Consignment stores and thrift stores will be your friend for awhile. Lol I did buy new underware after I lost 90 lbs. I need to get some new ones of those. ha!! I wear a sports bra all the time now so that I havent had to buy new bras yet.

Breakfast body fortress super advanced whey Protein. chocolate 1 scoop in a cup of coffee (I just started one cup of coffee about 2 months ago) or 8 oz. 2% milk 1 scoop is 26 g protein 140 cal Snack 1 baby bel light 50 cal 6 g protein and laughing cow light creamy swiss 1 wedge 35 cal 2 g protein lunch ½ can of tuna in spring Water drained 50 cal protein 10 g, 1 tbs light miracle whip 20 cal 1 g protein 1 tbs pickle relish 0 cal 0 protein Or may grab a Quest Protein Bar for lunch 210 cal 20 g protein… 17 g of FIBER!!! Snack Dannon light and fit greek yogurt 80 cal 12 g of protein dinner ex. ½ piece of broiled parmesan tilapia 85 cal 9.5 g protein or crustless quiche ½ a slice 64 cal 9.5 g protein. And then some sort of vege about ¼ cup. Snack.. my one indulgence 1 tbsp of planters nutrition Peanut Butter 90 cal 3 g protein I will sometimes to 2 oz turkey Jerky for lunch 160 cal 26 g protein. Have to chew the heck out of it and it takes forever to eat. ¼ cup of pistachios gives me a crunch fix at 170 cal (yikes) 6.3 g protein. Try not to do that too often So total protein for the typical day is around 70 sometimes more. I take 4 16 oz water bottles to work every day that I mix with one packet of crystal light green tea peach mango (it’s supposed to help with metabolism) Then I drink at least 2 more 16 oz bottles of water in the evening. I always walk.. every night without fail. I started out doing 1 mile really slow and now do 4 miles pretty fast. Around a 14.3 minute mile. I thought I would like running but I don’t so I just do a fast walk. May eventually start running. Ehhh doesn’t really appeal to me. And I really do like my walk. Its my me time and believe me when I never thought exercise would be my “me” time. Hope this helps. Remember I am almost a year out and it was not always easy. Some days it still isn’t. Sorry so long. Kristy

Constantly nauseated
kristy3k replied to Jessica9190's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It might be the protein drink that you are drinking. It took me a long time and many $$$ spent to find one that agreed with me and my pouch. You might want to contact your nut about where to get samples of different protein drinks and try out something different. It seems what you are saying is that is when you get sick. Good luck -
It is normal not to feel hungry after surgery. You have just had major surgery. If you are like some of us here, when you do start feeling better, you stll wont ever feel a hunger pain. I have to make myself eat every 2-3 hours because my stomach just doesnt ever growl to let me know its hungry.

kristy3k replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I go in for my year follow up on the 28th. Im excited to step on the scale in thier office. Hell, I hope they make me a spokesperson or something... lol. Michele... my surgeon wanted me at 175.. I dont really get it because I would have still been considered overweight on the BMI chart. How did everything else go othere then his lame goal... Let us know -
kmiller... music is right. This weight gain is from surgery. I had an ablation done and gained 8. It took 6 days for the iv stuff to flush out of my system and then I started losing. It is a freak out moment but you got this. Just keep working the program.

kristy3k replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok so I still can't eat bread let alone cookies... Thank god... Tonight I had fiesta lime chicken and made Santa Fe rice... Of which I had about a tablespoon. It was really good.. The rice is kinda sitting heavy.. But it tasted really good -
what a difference. GOOD JOB!!!

I've seen people on here that have slipped up pre op and had surgery. Good luck

What size are you now?
kristy3k replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That was one of the hardest things for me to break too... even now. covering everything up with a big shirt. What helped me was having one of my kids take a pic of me in an outfit so I can visualize how it looks. Its weird but looks different in a pic versus a mirror. Smaller well fitting shirts just make you look smaller. -
The shedding has started....not the lbs, but the HAIR...
kristy3k replied to L Belle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use Garnier Fall fight. I lost hair from months 3-6 and then it leveled out when I got my protein up and started using biotin faithfully. -
