    Long time lurker

I took a different approach. It suddenly doesnt matter how I did it... but that I did it. By telling my story and showing the success that I have had 2 others have had wls after a life long struggle with weight like me. Im proud of the decision I made and even prouder of how far I have come. To the people who think I took the easy way out... They are not important to me.. with my renewed self confidence, I no longer really care what negative people say... and quite honestly I have never had anyone say to me that I took the easy way out. Im glad that you are here and no longer a lurker... alot of people that are just starting out can benefit from the advise you can give.
  5. The only problems I had was getting up.. needed help the first week then was ok after that.

    Rough day

Daughter leaves for boot camp in the morning... Having a rough emotional day... Thank god for a small pouch but have eaten more then I normally do. Upside that only means 1032 cal today and 115 g of protein... But damn hope this feeling doesn't last!!! Just reminds me of how I still rely on food... Not a good feeling

    Garnier Shampoo..Omg!

ok so I have used the garnier shampoo and conditioner since I was 3 months out. I am now over a year. It isnt the shampoo... or if it is maybe you are having an allergic reaction to an ingredient in it. I am no expert just giving my personal experience. I did start losing hair at month 3 and it did stop around month 6. Make sure you are getting all your protein in. I take biotin as well, figure it cant hurt. If you are 4 days out and losing hair it could be a side effect of surgery... maybe the trauma of it? Good luck.

    Drinking

I couldnt drink that much 1 week out. Remember the nerve endings of your pouch are still healing so follow whatever your doctor recomends as far as drinking. I was just told to sip sip sip. So that's what I did. I was so out of it those first few weeks that I didnt measure anything but never was dehydrated so honestly dont know how many ounces I was drinking at the time. Welcome to the boards. Congrats on your surgery.
