    Down 122 at 6 month post-op!

    Girl you look fabulous!!! Congrats!!
  4. So many... I use a normal towel after I shower instead of a beach towel. I use a normal public bathroom stall instead of the handicap stall. I cross my legs all the time. I don't sweat as much. I am never out of breath. I can run up the stairs at my house instead of hanging on the banister all the way up. I'm in single digit clothing. I don't dread being in a picture... In fact I'm front and center now. So many more.... I smile all the time now!!!

    ONE more pound

    Woohoo!!!!!
  10. No one here can tell you whether or not to have the surgery... Only you can decide. Do research. Trust in your doctor.. Make sure he or she tells you the good and the bad. Personally best thing I have ever done... I have had no complications but it is hard work and it requires a lot of discipline and patience. If you have any doubts then your not ready. This is a life changing life altering endeavor not to be taken lightly!!
  11. It's bizarre to feel all these bones.... I like my collar bones and my hip bones. I love that now I'm front and center in ever picture and my smile...
  12. Dude... I was behind you.. The smiley face boxers were a nice touch.... Just kidding ladies... This was too funny to not post a response to... Frugal boy... Buy one pair of pants for traveling!!!! Ha!!

    Food WAS my Friend

I mourned my relationship with food almost as much as I mourned the death of my father. It truly is a sickness and thank god we have been given the tool to handle this addiction.

To log, or not to log

Personally I choose to log. As you get further down the road you will be able to eat more. Why not start the habit now of logging. I mainly log to make sure of my protein. It's to easy for this old gal to forget what she has eaten for the day.
  22. I know what you mean. Everytime I say something to a complete stranger... I think to myself ... what the hell. The lady at SAMS was handing out samples and instead of saying no thank you ... I said... I have had gastric bypass and I really cant... wth... like she cares!!!
  23. Let them step up to the plate. It's good for them and it will be good for you to let go a little bit. They will be stronger then you think and you will get to see the compasionate side of them. You wont be out that long where it will be of any detriment to them. Good luck girl. Let them prove to you that you have taught them well.
