Ok so yesterday was the first time I couldn't complete an exercise. I was doing week 10 day 2 of couch to 10k and I was supposed to run 15 mins walk 1 min repeat three times. I could not get myself to do the last 15 min run. I even tried taking a longer walking break and still couldn't do it. I'm trying again tomorrow evening but if I can't do it should I repeat the previous week or just keep trying?

I just read about this app in my women's health magazine so after you recommended it too I downloaded it. I'm gonna try it out next weekend when I run outdoors. During the week I stick to the treadmill at the gym since I'm a stay at home mom and my kid can play in the kids club while I workout.

Have you looked at the C210K program? I decided to download that one and I'm gonna go for it. I'm only on week 7 day 1 of the 5k so I still have a lot of work to do.

I wish. I never learned how. There is an adult swim class starting on the 20th and I've been debating signing up. I'm too self conscious.

Spartacus for sure. For women I think Blake Lively has an amazing body. I'm only 4'11 so that's never going to happen for me.

Fiddleman,I have the same problem. It helps me to watch myself sideways in the mirror so I can make sure I'm sticking my butt out and not my knees.

Thanks guys! Thinking back on it, the times I wasn't very tired after running were when I had a protein shake right after I was finished. I will make sure I have one every time from now on. Are the energy squares from nuts.com paleo friendly?

I have a question for you all: is anyone else feeling really exhausted after running? Today I did week 6 day 1 and I honestly wanted to lay down and take a nap when I got home. I've noticed I've been feeling like this the last couple of weeks. I don't run very fast (4.5 mph) so I don't think I'm over doing it. I have been increasing my speed a little bit during the jogging portion to keep from getting bored but its not for very long and still not fast. As far as diet goes I'm eating about 800 calories, 80 grams protein, about 80 oz water, and less than 45 carbs a day. I'm only 4'11 so I think 800 calories is a lot. Any advice guys?

I find when I work out my sleeve gets really tight and I can't drink water till about 15 minutes after I am done. I try my best to get in 16 oz of water before I workout and an 11 oz protein drink. I will have another protein drink after my workout and sip sip sip my water.

Starting Week 4 day 1 today. I love reading your guys' stories about running. Such an inspiration. I hope I get to the point where I really love running since I noticed it has definitely helped with the weight loss and I want to keep going.

Armywife29, How come you are only doing clear liquids? Dr. Luna told me to do full liquids starting 3 days post op. Are you just being cautious?

I can't believe my surgery day is tomorrow. I'm so excited and anxious! I will be at Mi Doctor with Dr. Garcia!
-
Hey guys! Just wanted to give you guys an update. I didn't have my surgery till 5:30 last night because Dr. Garcia was doing an emergency surgery at the government hospital. All I remember is laying on the operating table thinking "what the hell am I doing" and I saw the anesthesiologist put something in my iv and the next thing I know I'm waking up in recovery. I've had a ton of gas but its more uncomfortable than painful. The only bad part is I have had a lot of nausea and have been throwing up a ton. Finally got that under control. I am supposed to go home tomorrow but the doctors may push for me to stay one day at the hotel so we will see. I just miss my baby and want to go home to him. Thanks for all the well wishes!

Hey everyone, I'm at the hospital waiting for dr. Garcia right now. I have my iv in which went better than when I had one for my c section. When they put the medicine for nausea and antibiotics in my line I guess they did it too fast and I immediately felt nauseous and threw up. Dr. Luna came by and he wasn't concerned about the nausea. By the way, he is super hot. Only bad thing is last night I started to feel sick so I have a head cold right now. Wish me luck. I am so unbelievably nervous. I have to do well so I can get home to my two year old. I miss him so much already.

Yes, dr. Garcia. Sorry for all the typos. I guess I need to double check what I write before I post. -
