    July Post-ops

My surgery was July 23 as well. I'm only down 37 pounds since surgery but 57 since the start of the journey. I have not had any problems with food but I seem to be able to eat more then I did before. It's making me nervous. I'm slow too but know I need to start exercising. I'm having trouble with my ankle which is keeping me from doing much.

    July Post-ops

Where are all of the July post ops? We seem to be a quiet bunch. I'm doing well. I'm down 56 pounds since the start of this journey and my pouch seems to be ok with just about everything I eat. I need to increase exercise though. I'm having trouble with my ankle and knees so it makes it a challenge. How is everyone else doing?

    50's

Hi everyone I'm 50 ( as of 5 days ago) and had rny on 7/23/13. I'm 54 pounds down since the start of my journey. I'm feeling good overall although ankle and knee pain has not been good and keeps me from walking a lot. You ate right Darcylyn this would be very hard to go through alone.

  7. I had a gallbladder removal ( lap) and a complete hysterectomy (open). He spent an extra 45 minutes removing scar tissue but he was able to do the surgery lap.

    Concerns

I felt terrible for the first couple weeks. Phenergan was a life saver. It did get better. I'm now about 4 1/2 weeks and have not felt nauseous for quite awhile. My first couple weeks I never thought it would end. Hang in there! I drank g2 and powerade zero the first week.

    My Pre-Op Diet

The preop diet was the hardest for me. It got better after about day 4 but I was really glad it ended after 14 days! Hang in there.

    First time posting

So sorry hope things improve for you.
  12. So sorry you are having so many issues!
  13. I stalled for 5. Days after week 1. Now I'm 4 weeks and thinking I might be getting into another one.
  14. Just a warning... If constipation gets worse, dont wait. Call your surgeon's office. The procedures to take care of this were horrible, but I feel so much better. I hope I never have to deal with that again!
  15. The hospital did give miralax to take now but I was way past that working. I had an extremely compassionate nurse which definitely helped but it was still humiliating and painful.
  16. I felt like I had to go all the time but when I would try it was extremely painful and either nothing would happen or a small amount of liquid. I told the er doc it felt like a "plug". Unfortunately I was right.
  17. Clear liquids for 1 week then full liquids for 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks puréed,
