nauseous all the time
mitzie46 replied to new start2014's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt that way for the first few weeks but it went away. Now I only feel that way if I eat too much or eat something that doesn't agree with my pouch. I think you should check with your doctor. You don't want to get dehydrated. -

I want to, but I am afraid
mitzie46 replied to infinite_allure's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Only people who have not had the surgery could think this is easy. I didn't have this surgery until I was 50, and I regret not having it when I was younger. I missed out on a lot of living because of my weight. I'm so sorry you don't have support from loved ones. It is so helpful. I'm glad you reached out here. There are many here who understand and will cheer you on. -
This is my biggest fear because I am also able to eat everything although I don't push it with sugar or fried foods. I don't want to know if I dump on sugar because I am afraid I won't and will start eating eat. Good luck finding a solution.

My understanding is they repair those while they are doing the surgery if they need to.

Check with your surgeon but mine told me to drink diluted juice ( I.e. Apple) if low

Anyone's program use a On-Q pain pump?
mitzie46 replied to Amyllf2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had one while I was in the hospital. They took it out before I left the hospital. I woke up withi it after the surgery. -
I did 2 weeks of Optifast preop. It got easier after the 4 the day. I kept reminding myself of the purpose of it and it helped me get through. The sugar free syrups really helped. Coconut with the chocolate shake was my favorite. It tested like liquid almond joy. I liked the bars as well but did not like the Soups. Good luck!

mitzie46 replied to cathleenann's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It is much easier post op. I looked forward to every new phase but it felt doable. Good luck- it is totally worth it! -
I am almost 8 months out and had my first cortisone shot in my knee last week. It was a lifesaver! No NSAIDS except voltaren gel because I put it directly on the knee.

When does the pain stop?
mitzie46 replied to Sadie15's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me the left side was where they put the biggest instruments so it took the longest to stop hurting. It was exactly one month and I woke up and the pain was gone. Hang in there it will get better. -
Good reminder.i hope you start feeling better soon.

Great work! -
I have bcbs federal (standard option) and had my surgery July 2013. I lost initially during the preop stage but then gained a few pounds of it back. I did not have any problems with approval. I lost during my 2 week liquid diet. My surgeon's office told me if I gained during that stage they may extend the liquid diet. Good luck with your journey.
