I had my vs on July 31 2012 lost 50 lbs by sep when I had mirena inserted never lost anymore weight had horrible mood swings and hurt all over, just had it removed May 21st and have already lost 8 lbs. I'm sure everyone is different but I completely feel that the mirena effected me adversely

What about your sense of smell? After getting home I had to unplug my scentsy warmers. 22 days out and I still can't stomach strong smells!

My surgeon required 2 weeks of protein shakes and all of the fresh veggies and fruit I could eat, yogurt, cream soups strained (no meat or seafood) and oatmeal or cream of wheat. I ate a lot of steamed edamamae.

Ok thanks I'll try that the next time I go to the store, I live alone so my trips have been few and far between, that's a good thing!

Try the dannon light and fit Greek yogurt in vanilla it's yummy and it's full of protein

Today is day 20 out for me I had the same issue at day 7, went by ambulance to the hospital, ended up the drain aggravated the abdominal wall and cause hemmoraging, after a ct and 3 days in the hospital everything was back to normal. I wish you luck and a speedy recovery! Trust your doctor, they are the best !

I have in fact it started this Morning day 7 post opp just got told I'm being admitted for internal bleeding that is coming out the whole where my drain is located. I will be going back into surgery, guess that means no going back to work tomorrow, yuck!

Highest it has been since surgery is 160 the surgeon said as long as it doesn't go over 200 not to take anymore insulin, if u go low there isn't a way you can drink or eat enough to bring it back up. Today my high was 144

Is anyone having gas pains in your shoulders? I was sleeved 7/31 discharged yesterday and started having pains in my shoulder at the base of my neck. It didn't start till today so wasn't for sure if it's normal. It happens the most when I lay down.

I'm the 31st as well using Dr Cribbins in Plano, 6 more days yeah!!! We made it so far!

I'm July 31st as well, start my pre-op diet on Tuesday, and pre-op testin on the 19th. I have been "practicing" my pre-op diet since Thursday and the hard thing is getting all of my liquids in. But, I am super excited about this new chapter in my life very grateful to become a new "loser"!
