I think you are doing your surgery at a good age because you are young and not have to go through health issues like some of us that are over 40 ????. No matter what age we are, we all are doing this surgery to try and have a healthier life and enjoy it too. Nice meeting you too.

Yes we will update each other. Do you have to do a pre op diet? I have to do a 14 day diet 2 shakes a day and a sensible meal and all the sugar free drinks and sf Jello.

Congrats on the weight loss that's great!! On the other hand try to take care of yourself and your child during this time and pray a lot. Do you have any friends you can talk to or maybe a support group. I hope things get better for you.

Hello Quita, my surgery is 9/25, right there with you. I was going to do the lap band at first because at the time insurance only covered lap band or gastric bypass. As time went on during my dr visits I asked if the sleeve was covered and it was. That's when I made my decision about the sleeve and I'm ready because I know in the long run it will be best for me. As far as the comments that other people saying don't do it, most will I had some co workers tell me the same thing because they think the surgery will make you look sick or old but you have to tell them that this is not he bypass it's different still they might not understand. Just do it for your health and just you and keep on moving.

Yes, the choc premier are great and with 30 grams of protein. I didn't like the vanilla as much. But I did try the syntha 6 choc it was good too. I would like to try the strawberry on both brands.

Sounds llike you are doing as well as expected. I hope when I am post op day 2 I can do the things you are doing. Great recovery!

Congrats!! My surgery is 9/25. We are just a couple of day apart. At least you don't have to wait long. I got my date in early July. I have tried different protein shakes but like the premier from Costco. After surgery my dr office have a shake I can get from them. Hope everything goes well for all of us.

I have the premier shakes from Costco in choc. I did try syntha 6 in choc and I really like that one. Maybe I will try the strawberry I have to check at vitamin shoppe. That was the rtd haven't tried the powder.
