    Infused Water

I am glad you posted this. I purchased a diffuser and put it in the fridge overnight with lemon in the Water and it was too strong for me. I never thought of peach or cantaloupe. It's been on the shelf for 2 months now. I think in part because I am still pre op and have not cut all of the sugary beverages out, so it makes the diffused water flavor seem week just yet. I am going to give it another try with cantaloupe and peach. Thanks for sharing! @@Smye - I have seen the sweetener in the groc store, but I have not seen leaves. Where do you get those?
  2. @@VSGAnn2014 - It sounds like you have had an amazing journey. To be in good health and no longer need surgery for your knees, and to be free to move and exercise is just beyond AMAZING. To reach your goal and maintain your weight is just a dream come true. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your follow up. Congratulations!
  3. @@Miss Mac - Loved your post!
  4. I just love this topic. This is the kind of thing I can sit and enjoy thinking about as I move along in my journey. Even though I am not at that point, it motivates me to think about the days to come. My dream style starts as simple as being able to wear a black ribbed turtleneck with jeans. I have actually started a folder for outfit goals that I fill with photos as inspiration for the days ahead. Overall I would say that my style will be natural. Having said that, it is just as clear to me what I don't want to be my style any more..... no more clothes with flowers. I have sworn them off... and no more embroidery of "stuff" on my shirts or pants either... nada..

    H. Pylori? Answers please!

My surgeon mentioned it and tested me for it when I started this process over 6 months ago. I was negative at that time. He said he would test again before the surgery and if I was positive it would be treated with antibiotics as you mention. He acted as if it would be no big deal either way, but wanted to be prepared. I am sure everything will be fine. Good luck!
  7. I wish butterflies would fill us up! So excited that your day is so near! I have my insurance approval, but I am waiting for my call from the surgeon with my date. YAY!

    Sleep study

@@hilaryglynxo - I loved the ladies that helped me with my EKG. I had to work so hard to keep my heart rate up I thought I would come off of the treadmill. One of them put pressure on my butt so I could stay on and not fall off the end. I bet it would have been funny to watch! lol The only thing I didn't enjoy was the IV they had to put in to add the dye for the test. (The nurse told me to drink lot of Water next time or drink a Gatorade / Poweraid the day or night before as really helps to plump up the veins.) So I had the IV and dye put in, then waited a few minutes, echo at normal heart rate, treadmill, echo after activity, and then ultrasound. I am sure it will go well for you Good luck!

    Sleep study

Oh my, the goop! I just kept finding remnants of it everywhere. Definitely plan time for a good shower before work!
  10. I have set some "stuff" rewards and some event rewards. My 100# reward is scuba lessons which is something I have always wanted to do.

  16. @@Babbs I don't think we are in disagreement. I have no idea how much she will loose from week to week, but that has been my goal in my past efforts. I lost and gained them back. The message I was trying to convey is that with this new tool she has the best chance ever to continue moving forward at her own pace. As you say, if it could just be that easy. Good luck to everyone on their journey.
  17. Yeah, what they said, and mean people suck!

    Unofficial denial :(

That is terrible news. I know you must be disappointed, but maybe it is not the final work. I am hopeful that your doctor can help you appeal the decision. Don't give up.
  19. I am not in the position to offer any good advise, but just wanted to say YOU CAN DO THIS! I am rooting for you

  21. You are not being dumb, just human. Like me right now... I am about to "jump time" as I call it waiting for my call for approval. It has been the longest 9 days yet! LOL Besides, when I get to where you are it will be you reminding me of this. LOVE this community.
  22. @@wannaBthinsoon - I am not on your side of the bench yet, but in my many, many, many diet attempts over the years, I would always shoot for 2-2.5 #/week for all the reasons you mentioned. The REALLY amazing thing is that you are going to keep on loosing that weight week after week until you reach your goal. You don't have to be in a race, and you don't have to loose that same 2# over and over again. They are gone!
