If you haven't had surgery yet what are you most afraid of?

My biggest fear today is that I will be denied by my insurance company. I have been waiting since 8/4 for the call, and BCBS of AL says it could take "up to 30 days for the determination to be made". Grrrrr...... In terms of the surgery, I guess I am strange because I am more worried about getting the IV in than the surgery itself. -
Still waiting and waiting for that call...

@@maryannotginger - have you read that silica and zinc help with hair growth? This is the first I have read of that. Is it available in pill form or part of your Vitamin?

What a considerate mom you are. I would have struggled with this as well. I also agree with Miss Mac. You sound like the person who is always putting others in front of yourself. You deserve this. I am glad you decided to go on with the surgery. After all, it is best to do it now before the babies are here. By the time they are here, you will be well recovered and able to enjoy them. Your family is so very lucky to have you. ((hugs)) -

I don't blame you for being emotional. It is exciting to think about the changes to come and your new life. I can't tell you how many times I read posts on here and see photos of people reclaiming their life and it make me tear up. You can feel any way you want to feel.

Congratulations on your loss! I was at a WLS support group meeting last week and there were lots of folks at different stages, and some at goal, and most said that they struggled with seeing the "new you" in the mirror. I bet if you looked with a different set of eyes you could see how far you have come. One member mentioned that the first time she actually saw her progress was when she saw herself in a photo and wasn't expecting it. Like... Who's that? Oh, that is me. -
