As a young adult I was always active and never had a weight issue until after college when I got married, and immediately started having children, and the weight poured on because I did nothing to prevent it., I ate like I was going to the electric chair, and used food to soothe the stress issues associated with the immense responsibility of providing for my family, and never having any time for myself. Soon I had 3 children, and a very stressful relationship in my marraige and the weight gain took on a life of it's own. My life changed when I decided to get divorced, and relieve a major stressor in my life which was my ex husband. I learned how to live again, enjoy life, which of course included lots of eating and drinking. When I reached my top weight of #348, and was put on blood pressure medicine I realized in the next few years I would become some sort of rehab patient, either with a back injury, or hip surgery or something else. So July 10, 2012 changed my life when I decided to have my sleeve. It is the most fantastic thing that has happened to me. I am now starting to remember what it was like to move and breath easier, I am becoming smaller, now down to 270#, and am looking forward to the coming year as I continue to return to the person I used to be!!
