I'm so excited for everyone! My date tentative date of 2/7 is now a real date of 2/21. I'm bummed that it is out further, but still excited! I see my doc tomorrow for pre-op blood work and EKG, meet with the surgeon for the last time on 2/4 and start my 2 week liquid diet on 2/6. I'm going with Unjury, the chocolate is Yummy! Haven't tried vanilla or unflavored yet. -

I'm not scheduled yet. As soon as my protein powder arrives and I try it out to make sure it doesn't upset my stomach (lactose intolerant & milk allergy) then I can call to schedule surgery. The powder stuff should get here early next week

How long was it before you heard back from insurance if you were approved or not? My last appt was 12/17 and then everything was sent off for approval. I'm getting so anxious waiting to hear if I'm good to go!!!!

Thank you for the advise!! Had I not asked the question here I would have still been wondering what's going on 2 weeks from now. You all are so kind!!! I will definitely be sticking around as I'm sure I will have a million more questions

Dr office just called and said they were able to get it authorized from now until June! YAY!!! Way to be on top of things! Sounds like early February will be my date, have to get some blood work done and an EKG, then they will give me a surgery date. I'M. SO. EXCITED!

Submitted on 12/21 and approved for surgery dates of 12/24-12/26 is what I'm being told. I told insurance there is no way that's right! I have to be on 2 week liquid diet so the dates have to be further out! Insurance said dr has to resubmit and ask for an extension. Dr will resubmit next week. You can bet I will be calling every day after its submitted to find out so this doesn't happen again!!

I just called them and they said it was approved but had expired. Called my dr office and they said they hadn't heard anything at all. UGh! Back on the phone with insurance now to find out what's going on. I should have known this wouldn't be easy! lol

Hi everyone! I finished my 6 month program on the 16th, now just waiting to hear If insurance approves. Getting very antsy! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thanks you guys! I have tried a couple shakes and pretty much gagged them down so I know they won't work for me. Anyone using a lactose free drink that they like?
