When was your surgery? Way to go!

I'm such a sweaty mess in the summer. I'm sure it's because of all this extra weight. Do any of you notice not being super hot all the time in the summer or at night? I will certainly be looking forward to next summer.

What? It's up that high? Can you see the scar when you wear a tank top? I thought they go in your stomach on one side!

Okay so I am at the point where I have had my consult and am approved through insurance. My surgeon didn't go over the liquid diet with me. Can you all please elaborate on what is entailed? No food at all? Just protein shakes? I can imagine that I would lose a ton of weight just from this liquid diet. Please explain. I'm starting to get anxious about this liquid diet. Would if I cheat?

Good luck girl. I'm a month or so away from being banded. I have read and read and read on here the good the bad and the ugly. I feel so much more confident about the surgery after all I have read. Good luck and keep us posted!

I would do searches for all of your questions. I read every thread. I'm just getting to the surgery point. Lots of useful info on here. Everyone is so nice!

I'm irritated. I will have all my appointments done in two weeks but I need a special dietary class through insurance and they are booked up until early Sept. Really aggravating. Maybe they shouldn't have so many seminars if they can't handle the appointments.

I think you should realize that it isn't an easy surgery. I mean some people have an easy time some a horrible time from what I read on here. Also I don't believe you can eat anything you want in small portions. I think everyone is different. ON here some people can't eat bread but some can, some can't eat steak some can. I wouldn't go in thinking everything will be easy. I'm not banded so I'm not the one to ask but what does everyone else here think? Do you think someone should have surgery with so many fears?

Well I have psych sleep and pulmonary appt within the next two weeks then I have two dietary appts and ins hasn't been approved yet I'm thinking Sept or Oct! Can't wait!

I haven't been banded yet but I would guess good movies, things to read. I read somewhere that hard candy probably sugar free. Good luck wish I was as close as you. How is your liquid diet going?

I wouldn't stress about it. It may take a while to start losing but it will be worth it.

Hello bandsters. This week I have my Psych appt and my Sleep study. Even though I have a BMI of 38 plus 3+ Comorbids the insurance woman at my DR. said it would be better to have a sleep study in order for the ins to be approved. Has anyone ever heard of this? I have absolutely no snoring or sleep disturbance.
