So The Hubby Likes An Ample Rear, What If I Lose It All?
mickmick replied to Mzluvee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
not sure what his deal is honestly. He says he is scared I will get skinny and leave him but I think if you dont want me to leave later, then dont be a jerk now lol. -
Besides what has already has been mentioned, there were three things that my surgeon said that stayed with me and led me to choose the sleeve. First, at some point the band WILL stop working. it might be 20 years from now but that was a real concern since I am in my 30's and in for the long haul. Second, there are lots of ways to cheat your band such as drinking with food to push the food thru so you can eat more. Last but prbably the most important to me, you have a foreign item in you. My husband had hernia repair with mesh. We found out three years later that the mesh had been recalled the day before surgery and his surgeon didnt know and used it. It can cause death but too risky to remove. It was an eye opener that made me scared to consider the lapband.

So The Hubby Likes An Ample Rear, What If I Lose It All?

I have the same fear. My husband likes my curves and is being kind of a jerk since I did the surgery last month. Sigh. -
I was told never but I know people do anyway. I miss diet soda. I gave it long ago but I miss it lol.

I found great recipes including pizza made from cauliflower. I did "liquid" taco soup that I found online. Last week I went to a party and brought the lasagna bites. Everything agreed with my sleeve and I am 4 weeks out today.

I bought ostrim bbq sticks and it was really good. In fact I bought one stick and liked it so much that I went back to Vitamin Shoppe and bought a box of ten. Gnc also has it. -

I can't drink regular water for some reason but can tolerate sobe water and vitamin zero water. I have to have them both really cold. Hope you feel better!! -
I am in the same stage as you. I think between 700 and 900 but I am not 100% on that either.

Yep! I had the same fears going in. I am 3 weeks out today and feel really good. It is a learning process so nothing is perfect but I feel good. I have lost 30 lbs between preop and the past 3 weeks. I haven't thrown up yet but some things stay down better than others. The best advice I have heard from my friends who have gone through this and don't have extra skin is to start wtih light weights once you get approval to work out. I am walking about a mile a day and will see my surgeon next week for a check up. I bought hair, skin, nails vitamins at Costco but haven't started on them yet. As far as weight loss goes, I am pleased so far LOL. My surgeon said that for my height I can easily be 108. Honestly I would be thrilled to be at 140 LOL.

How Soon After Surgery Can You Fly In A Plane?
mickmick replied to bakawaka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My grandmother died 5 days after my surgery. It was a 16 hour drive to get there or a 2 hour flight. My surgeon approved for me to fly but not drive. He insisted that I get up and walk the aisles at least once an hour and I had to buy/wear compression knee high socks. I didn't have any issues. I checked in with them once when I got there and later on in the week. I stayed a total of two weeks so I will see him in a few days for my first follow up. -

Syntrax nectar brand stayed down in the beginning. So did EAS carb control. I was sooooo thirsty for the first two weeks even as I was drinking. I am just about three weeks now and it has gotten better. What a difference this week has been! -
The catheter was horrible! I felt a million times better after it was out! I am three weeks out tomorrow.
