Congrats! Which doc?

I decided today was a good day to go ahead an just start eating a little healthier, cutting out sodas and all the sugary junk I eat all the time. I did good up until about 4pm, then I felt like crap. I mean, just awful. My mouth was all dry, I felt dizzy, I felt like I was going to be sick. So I got me a sweet tea and immediately felt a lot better. This is ridiculous. I try to do better but my body freaks out and makes me feel awful.

I've gained about 30 pounds from food funerals! Ugh. Soon as I found out about this surgery I started eating even more. I don't know why!! I'm so frustrated with myself

I believe you can book anytime. You just ask Nina if he's available the day you want to fly in.

Sleeved Twice - My Story
Jesser replied to Canadasleever's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello! Amanda and I actually looked into Dr. Pompa. The website looks very appealing being a center of excellence and she's a part of the FACS, but I did research on obesity help and also on there people have mentioned the sleeve not being done correctly. Also, they quoted me $1000 MORE than my friend who had called only a day prior to me calling them. I called them out on it and said I wouldn't be using them because this was bad business in my eyes. I felt like I had been scammed over or something. They did however write me back to tell me they weren't trying to do bad business, but a special had ended the day before I called them. They said they would honor the lower price if I wanted to book with Dr. Pompa. I decided against it. We started off on the wrong foot already, plus I read the complaints. That was enough for me to look elsewhere. She may be a good surgeon though, I'm not bad mouthing her. -

Just postpone it for a little bit, don't talk about it with them and they will forget about it. Then book again and don't tell anyone when your going lol that's what I would do. Just so you won't have to deal with all that. -

Me! I'm aiming for June too! And hopefully Dr. Aceves! I'm saving, saving, saving -
So, I'm out looking for a few cute maxi dresses to bring with me to Mexico this summer, and I'm in a depression now lol I hate shopping for clothes being fat. It really is getting to me. Just the depression alone is killing me. I just went and bought me some water to drink at work today rather than running next door and getting a Coke. It won't hurt to try and go ahead and lose some weight now. I ended up gaining like 20 more pounds when I knew I was going to have WLS... Food funerals I guess. Now I'm paying for it

Florence Hospital Reviews! PLEASE :-)
Jesser replied to prettynpink's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Do you think, in your opinion that they are equipped enough to handle an immediate emergency at Mi doctor? If one was to arise? -
So, I just had an argument with my Mother, AGAIN, about having the sleeve surgery. Her side of the argument is that it's not a good idea to remove part of my stomach because I may need it later on in life. She also said that it may effect other organs, or if I was to get diabetes later on, don't I need my stomach to help break down sugars in my body? I have a freakin headache now because of all of this. I'm still standing behind my decision to do this though! She also said that if she was to have surgery, she wouldn't Go as drastic as having the sleeve but the Lapband. I told her she would change her mind if she researched it a little bit lol anyway, does anyone have any words of advice that I could tell her? Especially about the long term effects of the sleeve... What are your opinions on that?

Well, that's another thing, I'm going to Mexico to have it done. And again, she hasn't done any research on this so she's assuming how its going to be there. I know how it sounds, but it's completely safe to go there. I just can't get it through her head. But I guess you all are right, it doesn't matter. It's my body and I want to do this whether she supports me or not

Depends on the guy really. Lol but yes, I can find it very attractive.

I don't see how they keep everything sterile with that many patients coming and going in? But what do I know? Lol -

Lol yeah, I'm not much of a yeller. I'd feel much more comfortable pressing a button. -
Thanks everyone! It just scares me because I'm still having to save up the money for the surgery and I'm afraid that I'm never going to come up with it! I have about $2,500 saved up.
