Had another WLS dream last night! Lol I was supposed to be discussing my surgery with Dr. Ortiz at OCC, but he was Dr. Drew.... You know, drug rehab Dr. Drew. Haha I was trying to talk to him about prices and he was going to do my surgery for $1000 if I could get 2 more people to schedule surgeries also.

Sometimes they change... I wasn't aware that they don't want you discussing the price. -

What are the prices? I know a few months ago it was around $6,500 for the sleeve -
Well, my car broke down on me and it's going to cost about $1,300 to fix it. I applied for a loan but I don't think that I'm going to get it without a consigner. I was scheduled to have surgery in March, but may have to rethink this entire process if the money doesn't come through. Does anyone know of a surgeon that does in house financing? Or maybe put down half the money and finance the rest?

What company did you go through? Which one is it that r4ac is using?

I really messed that up when I was younger. I had 2 credit cards with $10,000 limits on them and by the time the interest and late fees piled up on it, it was ridiculous. I pretty much ruined my credit over that. It got out of hand and I didn't pay it back. Just young and dumb. Now that I actually need it, I can't get it.

Thank you everyone! I'm going to save whatever money I have left out of my tax return after fixing my car and try to put away $4-500 a month. Hopefully by summer I will have a new date
-
I don't think they have that... I think they go through other companies too. Which would still require a consigner. When I applied for my loan at my bank, I even put my car up for collateral and still nothing...

Thanks for the websites. I applied at medicalfinancing.com last week and they wanted me to have a co-signer. I will look into these other ones that you have recommended.

Alvarez's

Thank you! Are you Dr. Alvarez Susan? Lol

-
I can definitely do that!

Thanks so much! I would have a hard time coming up with the $5,000. My income tax check is going to be significantly lower than I expected as well. I guess I will have to save up a few months.

My dream was really strange. I was in Mexico with my Mom and little sister. We all three were waiting to get sleeved. My Mom went first, and my sister decided not to do it. I was waiting and waiting for my turn, and finally I went in for surgery. Then I remember going under anesthesia (this is in my dream, so it was like a dream within a dream... Yeah, some inception stuff right there) but I went under, and everything was all white and fuzzy, I thought that I was in heaven. I thought that I passed away during surgery... It was so weird. Then I woke up in my dream and realized I survived the surgery. Then I woke up in real life... Lol

Omg! I had almost the same exact dream!

I'm still waiting on mine. I sent off for it last week

That's the order I did mine too. Make your deposit first to get your definite date set, make sure you get the passport a couple of months prior to make sure you have it in time, then book your flight
-
You definitely need a passport. I got a passport card, it's only $55 at the post office. It's for land travel only. If you plan on flying straight into Mexico, you need an actual passport. But if you are going to San Diego, then they pick you up and drive you into Mx, a passport card is good enough.

See where it says stickies? Click on that
-
Yeah, that's how I log on too.
-
When you click on self pay/Mexico right beside it is something that says Stickies. It has a list and a bunch of info on it that's useful

I just read your experience Reginator... Thank you so much for sharing this information. And about the little boy, it blows my mind that a surgeon would even consider doing the surgery on a pre-teen that wasn't even overweight.

So, I just found out that Dr. Garcia does the single incision surgery!! I know that a few people have said the incisions aren't bad anyway, but for someone that doesn't want any this could be an option for you! just thought I'd relay the info!
