Honesty Vs. Lying About The Surgery
SensationallySassyT replied to Lovely's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Inititally I was planning on keeping it to myself~ Since then and mind you i'm still pre op I have shared information about the surgery to three women who are now considering it including my grandomther! If I would not have shared my interest in the surgery they would not be looking into it and would be struggling and stressing over weight~ I am a very social and active person~ I roller skate and travel all over skating so I know folks are gonna be like WOW you look good how did you lose the weight~ I have no clue how many lives I can change! At this point I am leaning towards Spreading the word! Especially since I could give a darn less about what any Hater has to say about it~ T~ -
Lisa Lampanelli is also featured on the TV show Inside Edition~ but they called it the gastric band~ and stated they can only eat one bite of food some Pasta dish and one bite of dessert! get your facts straight TV shows!!! The quick clip did the gastric sleeve no justice at ALL~ am I the only one who saw this????? I have yet to get my surgery but the 40 second clip made the sleeve seem like a starvation diet~ I wish they did a more detailed story on her weight loss! DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS????? OR ANY OTHER TV SHOW THAT DEPICTS THE SLEEVE IN A NEGATIVE OR UNTRUTHFUL WAY??? T~

Ok they call the process of appointments ie., NUT, Psych, case worker the pathway program which can take about 1 month then the final step is meeting with a surgeon to set the date for surgery and pick which surgery you want~ it's a wait list for about 2 months to begin the pathway~ -

I Wonder What Celebrities Are Sleeved?!?
SensationallySassyT replied to SensationallySassyT's topic in Rants & Raves
I don't believe that J Hudson did weight watchers alone! I believe she had weight loss surgery~ that's my final answer!!!! The lies are what is making me want to tell the world about the sleeve! I don't want to provide people with false hope~ especially those that have been struggling with their weight for years~ #ijs# T~ -

Emotional Eating - Prepare For Life After Surgery?
SensationallySassyT replied to Scully's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I can relate to ALL of you ladies~ for me food , sweets rather comforts me~ When I get lonely that's what I turn to sweets and i'm addicted to sunflower seeds~ they are like my cigarette. As a military Wife it is especially difficult especially when my honey is away for long periods~ I am pre op and currently working on falling in love with sugar free ice pops, and such rather than hitting up the frozen yogurt bar~ I can eat yogurt or boiled egg from Breakfast a lean cuisine for lunch and meat n veggies and a sweet potatoe for dinner~ but after that it's SNACK ATTACK! Working on me internally one bite at a time~ T~ -
I believe the key to exercising is finding something that intrest you~ I roller skate and that's a great exercise~ I like Zumba classes because it feels more like a party than anything~ Even walking my pup is a form of exercise~I am currently stuck on kickboxing~ I love to push myself to do the moves and get out my aggression on the bags! Find what works for you~} T~

The Naysayers.....do It Naturally! How To Handle Them.
SensationallySassyT posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everyone I am in my very early stages of Pre op I am ordered to wait 2-3 months before I begin my appointments with the NUT and the Psychologist etc. Meanwhile I have been reading and researching like crazy!!!! The few that I have shared this interest with recommend I eat smaller portions and do it the natural way~ this only causes me more frustration because I can NOT do this on my own! I have tried, I am trying with little success I am 5'3 255lbs~ I seem to go up 5lbs and drop 5lbs I attend a kickboxing academy 3-4x a week and utilize MYFITNESSPAL to track my meals~ { add me sensationallysassyt} My question is what has made the sleeve a success for you when so many other diets have failed in the past? What can I do to prepare myself for success both Pre and post op for not only weight loss but for a healthier lifesyle as well??? Thanks T~ -

Help I've Been So Lazy
SensationallySassyT replied to simplyQuel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, sorry you are having troubles~ I have yet to get sleeved however I know that planning is key~ Did you speak with a Nutritionist in regards to a food plan? If available I would make an appointment to assist you in getting back on track~ From what I have been reading Protein is vital so make sure you get that as well as your fluids in~ Also create a realistic exercise schedule even if it's walking during breaks at work or parking extra further in order to get more walking in~ baby steps to get yourself acclimated and in a better routine~ hope this helps~ Best wishes~ T~ -
