Temperature Control Issues
2012 replied to shazini's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, cold all of the time, especially my hands and feet. -
I go by this chart: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/target-heart-rate-for-weight-loss.html and calculate my net calories burned here: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx

Hi ali, there are probably several different ways, but I go to community at the top right, hit find members, and put in the ID's listed here to find the person. Then click "add as friend" to send the message. I would also suggest to mention something that you found the person on LBT in the message so they know where you are coming from .

I know, isn't it weird, I'm nothing like I was before the band. The cravings went away and I just don't want that crap anymore.
-
Thanks for asking/answering this, I was always curious about this as well and that makes sense that the hunger would come back strongly.
-
Same here, warmer weather and more sunlight motivates me more. I need to strength train and started yesterday and I'm paying for it today
-
Same here since my lower belly loves to stick around and I'm concerned with the after math of a pani (I think that's what it is called), I doubt my skin will shrink up that well.
-
It does suck and every since I got lap band, my lower back hurts every time, it never did before. At first I thought it was my chair at work (desk job) and realized the pain went away after I was done. Although, the cramping and pain has gone down drastically and I no longer take midol, so I guess I lessened one pain and gained another . You'll get through it and the only thing I could safely suggest is liquid tylenol and if you do sugar free, there are some really good sugar free chocolates out there and there's always chocolate protein shakes.
-
I just signed up, so I shall see how it goes. If anyone wants to be friends, just PM me and I'll send you my full name so you can find me.
-
Great job and looking good! That's awesome, even the dog is is losing weight, lol You have a great support system.
-
I agree Kisigin, I don't think negativity would motivate me, but free stuff will . I just don't know if this site is real or a scam of some sort, just wish someone knew about it.
-
You are correct Kisigin, I make homemade sugar free chocolate and had researched and found that erythritol has the least impact and I can eat the chocolate with no problems and fortunately these Chocolite bars were okay for me too .
-
I just found these on Drugstore.com: http://www.drugstore...4?catid=184332. Has anyone tried anything from this brand? They look interesting.

Oh, don't get me started with almond butter , that is something I cannot control myself on, I really love it and eat a little too much, so I only get the whole almonds that I can control. And for the question on portion size, I have seen on different bags anywhere from 1/4 cup, 24 nuts, and 28 nuts, but I weigh out 1 oz on a scale as the size of the almonds can differ.
-
I'm 2012ALM if you would like to add me, the more the merrier
-
I added a lot of you, I am 2012ALM on MFP.

If I could get my butt up at 4am, I would exercise in the morning as evenings have things come up and you can miss out on exercise (fortunately I use my lunch at work to walk 2 miles a day). But I have heard that morning is better, but doing it period is what counts.
-
I have to portion and then eat them, with the bag I either lose count of what I have put in my mouth, or start miscounting, like was that 16 or did I just eat 14? lol,
-
I love almonds! Have you tried the blue diamond flavors? I'm eating bbq habanero right now, very awesome , and they have a lot of other really good flavors like lime chili and mint dark chocolate. Love them all! I like your suggestion, I'll have to try that too.
-
Great job!
-
I love them too, but use the powdered version since it has a stronger flavor. Just wish they made more flavors in the sugar free, but I'm good with chocolate, vanilla, and vanilla caramel for now .
-
How about you Patty, did you get them and try them yet?
-
Well of course I received these when my sweet tooth attack is over (it was the fun week of the month this past week ), but I finally got these today and tried them and the Chocolate Crispy Caramel is very good, I really like them and love that they are only 1 net carb (as long as I only eat 2 as a serving, lol, I will maintain control ). Now to see how my belly likes them, some sugar free items give me big problems.

I started using the HRM method of calculating calories and found this article, you may find it interesting as well, I'm going to start using my net calories :http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx

Thank you, good to know. I'm looking into moving to Australia possibly in the next year and may just take you up on that offer as I'm not going to tell my coworkers I have a band to find a doc, support, etc.
