Bmarion662 replied to lucky8mb1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you unable to find someone to spend the night and stay with the kids and get them to school or let the kids take a holiday from school while the hubby gets you checked in? -

Really Having A Hard Time......
Bmarion662 replied to jaxlaceylace's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You know this saddens me deaply that family is not on board with the decision. My sister passed away 3 years ago due to obesity she weighed 450lbs. I begged her to get the surgery and I offered to pay for it since she did not have medical insurance. I wished someone had forced her to have the surgery in my opinion she should have been considered suicidel and forced to have it. I will be having the surgery in Jan I started at 216 and ready to do this no one will be making the decision for me not even my husband. I refuse to get to the pint my sister was at 450 lungs filling with fluid, heart enlarged to the size of a football, liver enlarged, splean enarged, blood pressure through the roof sitting in the hospital on life support for weeks. Morbid obesity is a dreadful horrifying disease. -

This surgery is a bit drastic to lose 35 lbs. Have you tried HCG. You can lose 25 to 30 lbs in 4 weeks.

Anyone try these? 2.5 oz shots with 28 grams of protein. Low in surar and carbs. Saw them at walgreens by the energy shots.

January 2013 Sleevers?
Bmarion662 replied to williamrjomes2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
January is a good time. Bring in the new year and be able to keep that resolutuion. All the holiday eating is done and you will neet out of pocket all in Jan meaning insurance should pay 100 percent of all medical for the remainder of the year for all the follow ups. Lots of upside to Jan. -

I wonder how long it takes to schedule the surgery once approved. I will be submitting the first week of DEC wondering the same thing if they will push to next year the thing is though if there are compications or follow up appointments they will be covered al year next year as you will meet the out of pocket -
Sorry for the typos on my blackberry

JWaller Not sure why either I would change Dr. Dessertmom: I think it is to make sure you are capaple of making the effort for the first 6 months post op and be dedicated to being diciplied during the critical months. I have not stuck to the 1200 everyday. I have however given my best effort
-
6 month diet is for thje insurance company requirements to ensure you are a good canidate for the surgery. Jwaller that type of diet is what I will have two weeks preop not for the 6 months monitored
-
I had a 1200 calorie diet and exercise. I ate progresso soup a lot. Eggs for breakfast soup or meat for lunch and salad with beef or chicken for dinner. Taco meat is a lifesavor.
-
Completed my 5th month today.Have lost 16 pounds and have been stuck losing and gaining the same two or three pounds over the last month. One more to go.. Ready to be done
