I have donated clothes in the past to a charity called Dress for Success http://www.dressforsuccess.org/supportdfs_donate_clothing.aspx I plan to donate my stuff here in the future... I don't know if you have ever tried to shop second hand stores for plus size clothes... It is difficult and charities like this are in HUGE need of plus size clothing! -
5 Confessions (Join In)
Ima Loser replied to ebthompson2010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I confess... ...I weigh myself everyday, at least once, and I honestly feel this keeps me in line. However I only officially go by my weight on Sunday Morning. ...I still go to Weight Watchers Meetings to be weighed in, I still track my food (even though I don't even come near to eating my daily points allowance) I like that WW pays attention and celebrates even the smallest losses, I don't think I will ever stop going and I will be happy if I make Lifetime Membership. But I haven't told anyone at my WW meeting about my surgery bc people can be "judgy" ...I am actually begining to like going to the gym, even at 5:15 in the morning! ...I feel so great after this surgery... I still eat all the foods I love, just way smaller portions and I have never once felt deprived. ...I am slightly excited to see my inlaws this Sunday... I haven't seen them since a week after my surgery... My Sister-In-Law is one of those people who have to make a comment about everything and she gives passive aggressive underhanded compliments to people and is always trying to act like her life is better then everyone elses and like she is the hottest thing on the earth and is gods gift to men... I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees me... I know she won't give me a compliment but the look on her face will be better then anything she could ever say, I know that is rude but she is even fatter then I was at my heaviest weight and would always make comments to me about my weight and how I have such a pretty face etc... I just want to see her face when she sees me down almost 40lbs. ...only a select few people know about my surgery and I am happy to keep it that way. ...I went shopping for dresses for my sister's wedding last Saturday (I am her Maid of Honor) and for the first time ever I fit into everything I tried on, somethings were too big and I found a dress that I love and I look awesome in! I don't think this has EVER happened! ...I am getting a little nervous becuase the lowest weight I have ever gotten down to as an adult is 211lbs... Right now I am 225.6lbs and I am nervous I won't be able to surpass 211! I know once I actually do get to 210lbs my confidence is going to skyrocket! I just have to remind my self every day that it will happen... Even my Surgeon and PCP think I will lose all my excess weight, having both of them be so confident in me is both encouraging and worrisome to me...It is so great that they believe in me but I dont want to prove them wrong! ...I just have to add that I have the best husband, he is so supportive and loves me no matter what, I really think I owe some of my success to him! -
I have been "officially" diagnosed with Hashimoto's... I have finally (after almost 2 years) gotten my dose of Synthroid right! I don't feel like I have had any problems losing weight since my surgery.... For me, this surgery has been a godsend! I have hypothyroidism and PCOS, both of these make it difficult to lose weight so this surgery has helped IMMENSELY! My ONLY regret is not doing it sooner!!

Challenge: Spring 2013 goal! Way in on the first day of spring
Ima Loser replied to foxymomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is it too late to join in? Pre-Surgery Weight: 264.8lbs 12.12.12 DOS Weight: 258.8lbs Todays Weight: 225.6lbs 03.20.2013 1st day of spring goal: 210lbs... The lowest I have lost to in my adult life is 211lbs... It would be awesome to pass that by Spring... I am thinking I could lose more, but this is a special goal for myself! -
ok... I have been following this from the begining and now I have decided to respond... I am 27 and I have never... ...Truely felt comfortable in any clothes ...worn a bikini ...just felt alright in a bathing suit in general ...bought clothes bc I liked them, not just bc they fit ...been waxed (accept for my eyebrows) ...not felt like the "fat friend" ...felt comfortable being "on top" even though my husband loves it! This will all change... I was sleeved on 12.12.2012, I am down almost 40lbs

Not disclosing details about surgery to employer
Ima Loser replied to schavez2010's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
' Actually Leagally speaking they can not deny you your pay if you are taking time off and you have PTO avail. The HIPAA laws protect you... In reality they aren't even suppossed to question you on medical issues... I just told my office manager I was having a routine procedure done and I needed to work from home for 3 weeks... It was fine no questions asked... Our HR rep told me I didnt need to disclose ANY information! -

Stall may mean Vitamin D deficient hmm...
Ima Loser replied to seelessofme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
TexasMiss- I too am hypothyroid... I was wondering, did your PCP or Endo have you take Vitamin D prior to WLS? I am asking bc mine did... PLease forgive me if you have already stated the answer to this questions, I haven't read the entire thread before posting my question to you. From what I understand MOST if not all people with Hypothyroidism have Vitamin D defincency... -

I Wonder What Celebrities Are Sleeved?!?
Ima Loser replied to SensationallySassyT's topic in Rants & Raves
I do think Jennifer Hudson had some kind of WLS... When she was losing Weight Watchers decided to have her be their spokes person and that is why she has kept it quiet! Look here is the thing, I have done WW pre-sleeve and continue to do it now! I will do it once the weight is gone too! It is an awesome program but I do think J Hud has had some type of Surgery -
I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred awhile back... It was hard! Once you got to stage 2 it got a little easier... The work outs were harder but I guess I built up my endurance! I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I am thinking of re-doing the 30 Day Shred 2 of the days I dont go to the gym,

Wow...and people wonder why health care is so outta control
Ima Loser replied to JennCH's topic in Insurance & Financing
When a hospital or doctor is "in-network" with an insurance company, they agree upon a contracted rate for every procedure... They agree to accept ONLY that amount of money... The Dr can charge $1million for a procedure but if in their contract to be "in-network" they agreed to accept $100 that is ALL they will get NO MATTER WHAT!!! That is why I get so angry when drs complain about how little they are paid... I feel like yelling at them and saying "HELLO you agreed upon these amounts!!!" -I know this not only from working in Drs offices, but now I working the Health INsurance Industry! -
its as if the Fat Devils are trying to hold me down (venting)

cheesecake factory
Ima Loser replied to Gigicrystal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love love LOVE Cheesecake factory... In fact just went there. Every year on Martin Luther King day (no signifigance just a day we all have off work and our kids are in pre-school) me, my mom, my cousin, and my aunt go out for the day. Usually out to eat and shopping. They just opened a Cheesecake Factory at our mall and my mom and aunt had never been. So we went there while shopping. The Skinnylicous Menu is AWESOME. I loved it before surgery and I love it even more now! My mom and I split the Pot Sticker Appetizer (I ate 1 and a bite of another) and I ordered the Lettuce Wrapped Tacos (mexican style) Both of these we in the Small Plates part of the Skinnylicious Menu... The Lettuce Wrapped Tacos came with 3 and I ate 1 and I actually have the other 2 with me for lunch today at work! They were soo good! They also have an AMAZING turkey burger! Best I have ever had! -

Ima Loser replied to neekoal's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
