Challenge: Spring 2013 goal! Way in on the first day of spring
Ima Loser replied to foxymomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have made my goal of 215 EARLY!!! I woke up and weighed 214.8lbs. I am so excited!! And yesterday for the first time ever someone said I look FIT! That is a compliment I have never recieved. -
So, today for the first time EVER someone at work told me I look fit! I felt like that is the BEST compliment ever! Now, I am no where close to goal and I still have a long way to go but this morning one of my co-workers came in and said to me "Wow you look really fit! How much weight have you lost" How awesome is that I have NEVER been told I look FIT!!!!

I am not really complaining about my boobie... I have always been a b-c cup... As I lose weight mine seem to be perking up a bit more... When I was in shape 8 years ago I had awesome boob... They were a small C cup but they were awesome.... I am hoping to get them back!!

I think it is pretty hot... I always tell my husband if he begins to bald, just to shave it and go completely bald... Judging by your profile pic, it looks fine on you!

All of my December sleevers...
Ima Loser replied to blkdiamond377's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
All my stats are in my ticket and signature.... But I have been hitting some FIERCE stalls! I feel like I am still slowly losing, and consistently losing even if it slow is alright by me! -
I just said this to my husband last week!!
-
Sarah- Are we destined to be sleeve buddies or what? I was sleeved on 12.12.12 as well... Looking at your ticker we have alike stats! I am in a big plateau as well right now... Not really sure how to break it!
-
I had my surgery on 12.12.12... I am planning to take my mirena out June 2014... The fact that we are waiting 18 months after my surgery is more credited to the fact that it just falls in line with my son turning 5 in Aug 2014 and my husband and I want to try then... My surgeon suggested waiting a year, my OBGYN (who has treated my PCOS for 5 years now) suggested waiting a year as well. We chose to wait the additional 6 months on our own!

Frozen Yogurt Six days out?
Ima Loser replied to kimikat3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And I am sorry for hijacking your post! I just needed to get that out! That was just an ignorant comment that was definately unnecessary! I dont know the poster of it and maybe it wasn't ment to be taken that way,(I don't se how but I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt) but that just got right under my skin! To answer you original question, I am almost 3 months post op and have had Frozen yougurt for the first time post op last week... I only ate a little bit, it was sugar free and my nut said it was a great dessert! -
Frozen Yogurt Six days out?
Ima Loser replied to kimikat3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am very sorry to be off topic but this comment bothers me ALOT!!! Are you trying to imply that the only people who value and take this surgery seriously are the ones who pay out of pocket for it...? I was very lucky to have my insurance pay for my surgery, that being said I pay VERY HIGH premiums biweekly for my health insurance, and yes I am blessed to have great insurance that covered my sleeve surgery, but that in no way shape or form mean I take getting 80% of my stomach cut out lightly... I think this was not a very fair comment to make... -
Was able to shop at Gap! What?!
Ima Loser replied to kikitrixie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wore horozontal strips last week for the first time in a VERY long time... And I actually didn't think I looked half bad! LoL... I LOVE the Gap! -
Where did you notice the weight loss first?
Ima Loser replied to kiki1196's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have noticed a lot in my face... My legs and arms as well... My back has lost as well... I don't notice much from my tummy... I was hoping I'd lose more from there I had smaller legs to begin with! -
This is funny... And I often wonder if other people did this as well... Occasionally if I haven't gone in a few days I will weigh myself before and after... I don't necessarily "count" the after weight I just do it to see... There have been times I have lost 2-2.5lbs!!!!

Would you have paid without insurance coverage?
Ima Loser replied to Houston17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was lucky, my insurance covered my surgery 100%... If I was in the posiiton before surgery to decide if I would pay out of pocket I am sure it would have been an EXTREMELY hard decision... However looking back I would pay out of pocket in a second!!! I would probably spend more then the cost of surgery throughout my life on yo-yo diets and weight watchers and pills and stuff like that... -
Will I ever need the other 80% of my stomach?

This is the same issue I had! -
Question about dress sizes from a newbie
Ima Loser replied to jgarnick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to remember Formal dress sizes are different... I litterally just ordered my Maid of Honor dress for my sister's wedding this past Tuesday. I only needed to lose about a inch to fit in a size 18... My regular sizes are 16 pants xL top 16 dress... We ordered the size 18 and the seamstress told me most dresses can be altered 2-3 sizes down and for formal wear a size down is approx 20-25lbs... I have about the same stats as you. I am 5' 5.5" I weighed 258lbs my DOS(12/12/12) I am not 219... My sisters wedding is May 25th and I am hoping to lose another 20-25lbs before then but I dont know so I ordered this one to be cautious... Is this a special order dress? I am asking bc the lady at David's Bridal told me if I ordered Tues the latest it would be in would be 4 weeks... Then I would get sized by the seamstress at the begining of may to have my dress done for the wedding on May 25. You said your sister's wedding is in Oct right? Why are you ordering dresses now? Check with the store you are buying your dress from... They were so helpful and have already helped plenty of people with my situation... The girls that helped me were so knowlegable and I waited to order my dress, I am sure the store can accomodate you! -

Challenge: Spring 2013 goal! Way in on the first day of spring
Ima Loser replied to foxymomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sadly I don't think I will make it to my goal of 210 in the next 3 weeks... I seem to have hit ANOTHER stall... We will see what happens I am going to do my best to make it to 215lbs by the first day of spring! But I vote we start a First Day of Summer Challenge!!! -
I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
Ima Loser replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't wait to not have to... ...use a beach towel after a shower bc the reg towel doesnt fully cover me ...walk out of a store with nothing after trying on clothes for over an hour bc nothing fits rights. ...assume people are talking behind my back. ...make jokes about myself and how fat I am before others get the chance to do it... -
What is your biggest fear after surgery?
Ima Loser replied to lotti's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
My biggest fear is not being successful... Somedays I feel like I will be the ONE and ONLY person who fails miserably, and this is all psychological, I am aware of the fact that if you follow the reccomendations there really is no way you could fail. Strangely enough (considering my biggest fear) my other fear is that I won't know how to live life as a normal size person... I have spent years assuming people were judging me and everything because of my weight... Believe it or not I have had a really hard time accepting that I am successful with this! I see a councelor regularly and his theory about my fears is my being overweight has been one of the only consistant things in my life (i had a shitty childhood and shitty parents). -
random observation
Ima Loser replied to wanderlust_76's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only time I actually attempt to look for a close parking space at my gym is if I get there closer to 9:30-10pm... Although I live in a very safe neighborhood I still like to be careful!! Anyother time I I tend to park farther away lol... -
I have Mirena, it is great!

I started eatting pickles at about 4 weeks and I have been eatting a lot of them! I loves them before my SX but now I seem to love them even more!!!

I had my surgery about 9 weeks ago... Typically for breakfast I eat 1 egg white and 1 link of turkey sausage or 2 peices of turkey bacon. Sometimes I don't finish all of this... I also drink coffee in the morning. For lunch it varies, I eat 2 peices of Turkey Lunch meat and a string cheese or if I go out for lunch my meal will last 2-3 meals Dinner I eat whatever the rest of my family is eatting just much smaller portions, honestly I eat much less then my 3 year old! My food intake usualy totals 1/2 cup- 3/4 cup...

I find it funny that when in a bind I will get a Fast Food Kids Meal. So if I stop at Wendy's I will get the 4pc Cicken Nuggests $1.00 and the Value Size Fries $1.00... I can eat 4 or 5 fries and 2 nuggets and I am definately full! I am still amazed! And my wallet likes that it only costs me $2.00 as oppossed to the $8-9 meal I would eat before (and sometimes still be hungry)
