http://www.iflo.com/...onq_classic.php I went to a class at my hospital I'm scheduled at on 10/1 and was told that my doctor sends his patients home with an onq pain pump (see link above). Can anyone who has used one for pain management share their experience? I had no idea I would receive one.

I had my sleeve done at inova fair oaks hospital with dr Moazzez. I'm totally happy with my results. Tomorrow makes one week and I'm down 7 lbs. I'm sure it has a lil bit to do with being on an iv for 4 days. He also repaired my hiatial hernia. He's with the bluepoint surgical group and those ladies are fantastic. They took care of everything I only had to show up!!

I have care first ppo and they took care of everything except the psych eval and 6 month nutrition sessions

Wow, I can't believe tomorrow's the day. I'm entering this path with mixed feelings. I'm glad to be having this happen, but my mother is really sick and was admitted to the hospital over the weekend. She's fighting cancer. I didn't tell her about my surgery. She was sad when I left NY to come back to DC. I told her I had something pressing with work that needed to be taken care of this week. My hubby will drive us (kids and I) to NY to visit with her next weekend. I sure hope I'm up to it. I have an extensive schedule and at the end of the day my surgery is the only way I could get paid time off. I pray I can get a full 6 weeks off and my mom can get stronger. I haven't cheated much on my liquid diet. Just a couple times and I had protein(egg white or chicken) -- haven't had carbs in a while, so I'm down 13 lbs on my one week diet. I haven't had the desire to eat. Watching my mom fight this fight is the hardest thing I've ever had to do...right next to watching my brother lose his fight in July. I kinda figured my mom would deteriorate once she had to bury her first born. So thanks for reading and good luck to all my fellow Oct first sleevers!! Tomorrow's our birthday!

That's the plan. I'll be in NY -- even if it's just to sit with her. She's fairly weak; I had to carry her like a baby last week to the hospital...luckily my hubby's great with our girls. They'll be clean and safe but their hair won't be combed! lol Thanks for the prayers...we sure need it! How are you recovering? I'm packing my hospital bag now...not even sure what to put in there!

I know I"m late by my NUT said the gummies still can have a chance of not being chewed to a small enough size and may get stuck...chewables only is my suggestion.

We have the same date. I just started my diet this morning. I had to do a week. Sad to say but my tummy is barking. I was given optifast..thankfully I can tolerate it

I have to lose 5...I start Optifast on the 23rd

I also have the hospital indemnity plan. So if I read my policy correctly, there will be a claim will be against both. I believe it's 1000 for the procedure and 300 each night i'm in the hosp in addition to the STD once the elimination period kicks in. I'm not too sure about 1000 -- my agent "told" me that but I didn't really ingest all my policies and see that explicitly written anywhere. I had a previous claim earlier this year for my daughters. They both had outpatient surgery (ENT, tonsils & adenoids). One was paid 300, the other wasn't b/c she was diagnosed w/in 30 days of the policy being in effect. I hope they don't give me any issues b/c I've been fat forever so maybe it's technically a pre-existing condition, but my surgeon's office used the date they first saw me on all forms which is about 2 weeks after the AFLAC 30 day mark. I'll keep you posted!

I have 2 FT jobs...I'm in no rush to go back...I asked to get the max -- 6 weeks and I hope I get it. I'll get 60% of each salary and I have multiple AFLAC policies. I'm the main bread winner in my family. My husband is a self employed mechanic, so he has more flexibility. He's the one who takes our girl's to their doc appts and handles other details

So...I had my final visit with my surgeon yesterday. I couldn't maintain the 10 lbs weight-loss I had and my abdominal ultrasound revealed a fatty liver so I have one week of a liquid diet starting the 23rd...not plzd but i look forward to the pre-op loss. I'm scared of arriving to the hospital late so I've booked a room at a local hospital to hang out the night b4. This way my husband can go back to the hotel and have Breakfast while waiting for me to come out of recovery. I'm going to miss my little girls for the few nights I'll be in the hospital.

I'm having my procedure done locally, so plz forgive me for my ignorance, but where do you all go for follow-up appointments? I would have posted this in the Mexico area, but I figured I'd reach out to my closest buds who are awaiting their procedure!

I'm scared of failure...like what if I get my sleeve and it doesn't work?? I haven't told anyone yet (except hubby and sister in law) for the simple fact -- I might not lose any weight! It's not something that consumes me, but I'm a private person to begin with, so I wouldn't make a public service announcement or anything.

I'm in the DC/MD/VA area. And yes we need to expand our group! I'm soooo excited!!!
