I started my pre-op diet today and downloaded MyFitnessPal. I can see how it will be very helpful and I plan to continue using it.

Medical Review Went Amazing, Except Irritated @ The Hubby!
Aaron in Tulsa replied to Mzluvee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As a hubby, I can tell you that yours is probably as worried as you (if not more so) and he's trying to make himself feel better by asking lots of questions. My advice is to let him ask away. He'll come around, and eventually he's bound to have exhausted his list of questions! :-) -

Somebody mentioned PB2 on a thread and I wanted to share with everyone. It's a great product -- basically powdered defatted peanuts; all the protein with very, very little fat and no sugar. Mixed with a bit of water it tastes just like real peanut butter. I'm pre-op but I can imagine that it would be great in a protein shake! I had to order it online, but they have a website that lists the stores where it's sold. Just wanted to share.

Happy Anniversary To Me (June 7Th)
Aaron in Tulsa replied to brol1k's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
First -- Happy Surgiversary! The last time I attempted to ride a roller coaster, I was 320 (I'm 6'2") and had to take the walk of shame. However, I think you're right that a lot of it is how the weight is distributed. But holy crap, you've lost 245 pounds! BFD if you can't fit in a roller coaster yet. You've done amazingly well! -
Looks great! Although I must say that when I first saw your pic I thought, "My God, that's a huge fork!" Then I realized it's on your tablecloth. :-)

Ooo! A somersault! Now I have something else to add to my list! -
Definitely! For me it's riding roller coasters and going to Water parks! Sounds silly, but I haven't been able to do either of those things in years.

I totally agree with Rootman. Plication seems like much too much of a gamble.

Is 50 Pounds In 6 Months Super Slow?
Aaron in Tulsa replied to yoshikitty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
50 pounds is 50 pounds any way you look at it! You should be proud! The rest will come off -- just keep doing your thang. :-) -
Awesome! That's the kind of thing I'm really looking forward to after surgery. I'm more excited about the NSVs than the SVs! :-)

That is fantastic! Congratulations! -
I know exactly how you feel. I don't even have a surgery date yet but I'm self pay so I know it will be relatively quick. I can't stop eating!!!! I need to quit, but easier said than done, I suppose.
