My doc is normal size, but the other doc in his office is definitely not. I agree with O.T.R. Glad I picked my surgeon!

It now says I'm a VST Addict! I guess there's no turning back now! :-)

And I haven't had surgery yet.

I have told virtually everyone I know. Family, church friends, coworkers. I don't really care what their opinions are, but I haven't gotten any negative feedback at all.

The yogurt you ate must have been a fruit flavor. The plain Chobani yogurt has much less than 20 carbs. If you add a little bit of Crystal Light powder to it it's really good!

My doc gave me an order at my first appointment and said I can get them done anytime. I got my labs done right away. Still haven't done my ekg but I'm planning to when I go to my next appointment.

I'm still having all kinds of issues with the app. When it first started screwing up last week, it highlighted all of the threads I've participated in whether or not there were new comments. Now, it won't follow any threads I comment on or threads I start. On my profile, I can only see my comments through July 19, even if I refresh or click "load more results." It was fine when I first downloaded and one day last week it just quit working right. Muy bizarro.

I'm in the process of losing 36 lbs. so I can get a surgery date. This is NOT the end of the world! Look on the bright side -- you had a FEW peanuts and A SLICE of bacon. You could have eaten a LOT of peanuts and TEN slices of bacon! So just get back on the liquids, don't look back, and keep on keepin' on.

I hear sooo many stories like yours on this forum. So glad you're getting rid of the band!

I'm pre-op, but that sounds a lot like something I've been reading about here on the forum called sliming. You might search "sliming" and take a look at the threads. They might answer your questions.

Yup. My subscriptions finally worked for about 20 minutes this afternoon and then they stopped again.

I have OCD so I would weigh every 10 minutes if I let myself! And I've seen huge fluctuations within hours when I've done that. I now weigh in the morning only. I've done a lot less freaking out since I started that. :-)

Now I want a soft-serve cone. Curses! :-)

Good to hear! However, I wonder if it's legal for your employer to let everybody know you'll be on medical leave without your permission...

Also, when I go to "posts by user" and click "load more threads," I get an error msg saying something about the forum plugin being outdated or having a conflict.

I knew NOTHING going in and had no questions, but it was very helpful anyway. See my post under ambalam's thread "Nutritionist Appt."

I had my first visit with my surgeon's nutritionist last week. I've been to NUTs before, but they've always just given me a bunch of BS that I already know -- like "eat smaller portions" and "try not to eat too much sugar." (DUH) But my surgeon's nutritionist was GREAT! We went through my typical day of eating, and then she gave me a diet plan tailored to help me lose the 36 lbs. I have to lose before I can get a surgery date. Non-judgmental, kind, helpful -- I can't say enough great things about her. I can't guarantee your visit will be as good as mine, but do try to go in with an open mind. I went in with a closed mind and it got changed!
