Why is it that American doctors seem to have more leaks? I just hear about it way more than Mexican doctors. Do the Mexican doctors have more experience?

I see more problems and complications from doctors here in the states than the docs in Mexico.... Just sayin

My weight loss is slow but I am down 28 lbs starting a week before surgery so about 7 weeks. I have decided that I eat so little of food that I am just going to eat what I want and when I want it. I decided that I didn't do this to be on a diet. I wanted to be able to put down the fork when I felt full like a normal person. Which I am now able to do since I have that restriction. Anyway I am only getting about 1000 calories a day and I think I should be able to lose on that, so I am going to try it my way and see how it goes.

I don't want to have to take Adipex that's the reason why I had the operation. Adipex is really bad for you and it gives me heart palpitations. As for the people who have yet to be sleeved. Yes i get hungry and probably eat every 2-3 hours however I only eat a small amount. It's not like it was. I had hoped I wouldn't be hungry at all and had no thought of food but thats unfortunately not the case

I had 80 grams of protein today and I am still hungry. Going to bed so I don't think of food. I thought I wouldnt live meal to meal anymore but this week has been rough. I am also on a major stall. Haven't lost in awhile. Very discouraged!

Surgery Set For The 20Th ....nervous Wreck!
Skyjack1 replied to sunsetblvd68's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I remember asking the nurse in the room whether they spoke English ( surgery was in Mexico) when he said yes I said please make sure I wake back up. I woke up with hardly any pain and no complications. I am 6 weeks out now and doing great! -
Things You Can Never Have Again With Sleeve :(
Skyjack1 replied to MK1986's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I use a straw. Can tolerate everything that I have tried or wanted to try. I love spicy foods. Have had pizza, bread, sushi, and I am 6 weeks out. The only difference is I have a small portion instead of gorge myself. I haven't tried beer or diet soda and hope to stay away from both forever. -
I was sleeved August 9th and am not having trouble getting any food down. Sometimes I wonder if my sleeve isn't small enough. I hear all these stories about people getting sick from certain foods. I have also only lost 24 lbs And 5 was post op. I have been at the exact same weight for 2 weeks now! I can tolerate every food. Nothing bothers me. Should I be worried?

August Sleevers. What Is The Progress? How Are You Feeling
Skyjack1 replied to Lucabelle1313's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Started at 212. Day of surgery Aug. 9th 206. Now at 188 and I have been stuck here for 2 weeks. I have had no complications and can tolerate any food. Hoping scale moves soon because lately I feel hungry and I am getting a bit discouraged. -
The plan being low carb protein. I will be back on tomorrow. Thanks for showing me the light because I was getting discouraged with the stall I guess I wondered a bit off the plan.

Just sleeved 2 days ago in Mexico I am at MI hospital. My doctor was Dr. Lopez and his wife Dr. Osana. Both great doctors very personable and no complications. Passed both leak tests and I am ready to go back to the hotel for two more days and recoop poolside and maybe do a little sightseeing, lol.

Post op not pre op

I am 3 weeks pre op with no complications. I had no pain except maybe gas, which walking helps. I have very little scaring and I am down 23 lbs. I have a low BMI so realize my weight loss will probably be slower but so far so good.

No food bothers me and since I already tried it same with alcohol. I sort of wish it did. Now I couldn't drink it down like I normally would but still burn free.
-
I may like the vodka and Sobe I will have to try that one. Tequila makes me crazy, lol
-
Wow no one said I was driving last night, lol
-
He sounds very reasonable. I went to Mexico and the only downside to that is no one to ask the questions to privately. Happy to have the forum though

Randgalt is that the same as soda because I also have heard soda is a no no. Thanks MJ I am with you on that note. Funny I had a stall went out last night and this morning BAM scale moved 3 lbs. I was think my sleeve enjoyed those 2 cocktails I had last night and maybe I needed a few extra calories.

If that's the case I will just find an alternative to get me drunk. Just kidding, lol
