You choose a good one Jess
  2. I am also in the same boat with similar stats and my weight loss is at a snails pace. I was sleeved on 8/9 and have lost 31 but most of itwasright away and I have lost only about 8 lbs in this last month. I am not a patient person. I need results quickly.
  3. So Iggy are you saying there is insurance you can buy if you go to Mexico? Just out of curiosity do you know how much that is? I obviously don't need it but maybe someone that's reading this may want to consider it.
  4. Glad I didn't have any complications I would have to sell my restaurant to pay my doctor bills
  5. Wow that's crazy but glad they are paying for your sake.
  6. I never asked I felt confident in my doctor that it wouldn't happen I guess. I do have great insurance but I am not really sure.

    Dr Lopez In Tj

Had surgery August 9th with Lopez. I am his biggest fan

    Ortiz And Alighterme

I originally booked with him and cancelled and I am glad I did. A girl that was there at the same time had some major complications and it seemed like he didn't care at all. Take it for what it's worth but be careful!
  9. I was originally going to get Lapband and I went for a consultation with a surgeon in Baltimore that was Early July. I found this forum and changed my mind to sleeve and mid July started researching doctors booked my surgery end of July and had it performed on August 9th. So less than a month.
  10. To be quite honest I liked the husband wife team thing they had going on. It was like getting two for the price of one. They also do extreme weight cases so I figured I would be a piece of cake. They have a great record and they were trained by one of the best surgeons in Mexico. While I was in their care out of all the other surgeons I was visited the most by my doctors. They visited me at the hotel a couple times a day once I was released from the hospital. I had a very good experience but you have to do your own research and go with your gut instinct. If it doesn't feel right, Its probably not. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
  11. My husband said less than 45 minutes
  12. No it probably saved me from a lot of pain
  13. I originally was scheduled with another doctor sent him a deposit and everything and backed out. I don't know I just got this weird vibe anyway I was glad I did because someone that was there at the same time had complications with that doctor. She was afraid to post negative about him but I am so glad I did not go to him and that I had that intuition about him.
  14. I went with Dr. Lopez and Dr. Jacqueline Osuna. They are a husband and wife team. They practice in Tijuana and Puerto Vallarta. I have nothing but great things to say about them and the care they gave me. I went through a company called A Lighter Me.
  15. Oh and why are these girls on here talking about how great the butcher/ doctor is that did that to you? They should be ashamed of themselves, seriously. They are missing a sensitivity chip!
  16. Feel bad for you Iggy I can't even imagine. I went in thinking it would be an easy surgery because my low BMI and I guess that is not always the case and I was lucky. I am wondering your opinion on this. I know you're on a lot of posts. Do you hear of more or less complications in Mexico or in the US?
  17. Once I realized in Baltimore surgery was 17000 it was a no brainer. I did my research and flew to Mexico the next week. I am 8 weeks out with no complications and very minimal scars (you can't even tell unless I point them out) Total spent was 4500 for surgery, 1000 for airfare, and 500 fun money for sightseeing when I was released from the hospital. Yes I was able to go sightseeing the last 2 days in Mexico. Down almost 30 lbs so far. Agree great investment!
  18. I flew to Mexico and had it done. My BMI was only 31.

    Dr. Lopez In Tijuana

I did and he's wonderful. I had no complications, but I had a low BMI.
  21. Bygone have any feedback on this husband wife team?

    Cottage Cheese And ?

Hated cottage cheese before surgery. Reminded me of curdled milk. Now I can't get enough of it and eat it all the time. I just do salt and pepper.

    Telling Wveryone Or No One

I told limited people before I went to Mexico. I was sick of hearing everyone say I was crazy for getting it done and going to Mexico. When I got back with zero complication I told everyone. I like to tell my story to maybe help someone else out since most people are not aware of the sleeve.
  24. I have been keeping track through My Fitness Pal. I really need to get my exercise going because I haven't did that yet and I am sure it would help. My weight is moving in the right direction it's just at snail pace but I started at a fairly low BMI 31.9
  25. I think I am able to eat way more than I should after 2 weeks out. I am also losing really slow. HELP I am starting to think like every other diet that has failed so will this one.
