    Starvation Mode?

I believe so, but do not know for certain. I eat something small every 3 hours. Typically i will eat 2-3 oz of some protein.
  2. It is just body composition micro adjustments. Your weight will go up and down a few pounds during the week mainly because of water retention and release so it is best to just pick a single day and time for weighing. Otherwise you will go bonkers for no reason. Also it is very typical for weight to oscillate around a single reading once you enter a stall. Given that you are 2 weeks out, you could be entering a stall where the body does a lot of internal adjustments, but the scale hardly moves anywhere if at all. Just wait it out as that is the easiest thing to do.

    Calcium Citrate...

The BA calcium citrate chews are 20 cal each. That's 120 calories. While it makes you wonder if it is too much, I'll take them anyways because they are yummy. It does not appear to have an impact on weight loss for me. They come in caramel, strawberry and chocolate.
  4. Personally speaking, I think it was the "love it" size cold stone that did me in originally.
  5. James, what are some of your strategies that helped you post-op. I am down about 100 also from July 2nd, but I am always looking for new strategies to see how we'll they work. My current plan is very simple: eat mostly Protein every 3 hours, drink when I am not eating, and walk as there is time. In last few weeks, my walking has been cut back a bit due to too many other work activities, but that needs to change. I am trying to get enough sleep, but I do end up feeling tired more than I should. I take a lot is Vitamins and other things daily: c, d, b50, b12, multi, Calcium, Prilosec, electrolytes and lots Probiotics. Also, I don't compromise on eating clean, but am slowly starting to introduce foods that are healthy and add variety. I realize I have a ways to transitioning into maintenance eating, but will cross that bridge when it comes. My weight is currently at 230 from 335 and I can't wait until crossing into onderland.
  6. James, that is awesome progress.
  7. That is great news. You should be proud and shout it from the highest mountain. I'm afraid onederland is a ways off for me, but I am going to celebrate when it does come, eventually.

Only 25 Lbs In 4 Weeks!

I would say 25 lbs is phenomenal. Enjoy it while you can because the rate slows down after a couple months.
  9. I'll let you know as soon as I remember...

    90 Lbs Down

Really great results for 3 months out. You are an inspiration to others.

    Grease (Isn't) The Word!

My sleeve got pissed when eating some greasy ham a couple weeks ago. Not doing that again.

    When Does It Stop?

I have noticed it starting to come out in the 10th week (last week). My wife just made a comment this morning about the back of my head looks like a hack job and that there are lots of thinning places in front. It is strange because now I am not too happy about it, but before I was more relaxed about it. I guess it really hits home when it happens to you. I eat a ton of protein and all required vitamins so that's not it, but have not started the biotin. Not sure I will because there are so many mixed reviews on the effectiveness. I will probably get a buzz cut or something ( never had one before as hair has been always thick).

    Gag Reflex

Most of the time the thick saliva ("slime") comes from eating too much or, in my case, too fast. It was most severe for me between month 1 and 2, but has scaled way back now after 3. Yes, it does pass but do remember to chew chew chew and measure measure measure your portions. I still can only do about 3 oz of solid protein in a serving. I do not try and have more than that because 3 oz is enough and I am so done with sliming and throwing up from my eating habits. I guess it was good in a way to help me build healthy new eating habits (still working on the slow part). If you can help it, follow the advice of posters and bypass it altogether!
  15. It could be scar tissue below the incisions. This bothered me for about 3 weeks.
  16. The rules to my success so far are eat clean, walk walk walk and drink drink drink. Some may not be as draconian as I am, but the results can speak for themselves. I need to pick up my walking again. I stopped walking so much at month 3 which probably explains my relatively slow loss in last few weeks. I have replaced walking with more rigorous exercises and just started a weight training program.
  17. Scratching your right or left upper back / shoulder blade with opposite arm by reaching up from bottom. Yay! Getting pretty flexible...
  18. @sweetnurse, I really started losing by week 3. The first two weeks was getting all the excess water and gas out of the system. Months 1 and 2 were my best months and averaged 2-6 lbs a day. 3rd month was a giant stall except for a few days of loss. I can't complain though as I went from 335 to 235 so far. Scale is just starting to move again from yesterday.
  19. Oh yeah, lots of rumbling here all the time. It is not just related to drinking and eating, but I cannot be too certain because I am always either drinking or eating. LOL! I eat a little protein every 3 hours and am drinking otherwise. I keep filling up my 32 ounce cup several times during the day ( at least 4 so know I am drinking enough).

    Coffee

I am not so sure about gastric ulcers as have been caffeinated from about 5 weeks until now at 10 weeks. I enjoy having 1 cup of coffee a day, sometimes not every day, with Splenda. Another hot drink I enjoy is hot sugar free apple cider with sugar free caramel. Hits the spot and only at 15 calories. Now that we are moving into cold months and I am generally colder after losing layers, I need something to warm me up inside. Hot Tea works for some folks I am sure.
  21. At the end of a stall, the skin and about an inch down becomes soft and "loose". Perhaps someone has a more scientific description of the process. The next couple days the stall ends and the weight begins to drop again.
  22. One of the reasons I got this surgery is that I was tired of being " invisible." It bugged me in the most extreme ways. I did not like how I looked before and I do not think others did either. Now I am getting my stud on and am looking forward to the attention going forward. No more glances at the sidewalk or quick head turns from others.
  23. July seems to be a good month for sleevers with all the positive results!

    Stabbing/burning Pain

I had a similar issue back around 3 weeks post-op. I showed and told the PA that was doing the 3 week follow up and she said it was from internal scar tissue in the muscle around the incision. The incision looked great, but there was a pain on the right side near it. This is not medical advice for you; rather it it meant to be anecdotal so that you have something to discuss with your doctor. Hope you feel better.
