I have that issue also even though I am taking miralax, drinking Water and Fiber from gummies. It is probably because my diet is fairly low on carbs and veggies. For example, I am up 1.2 lb today. Just need to wait it out.

You look great in only 6 weeks! Good job.

Try walking 2-3 miles a day and cutting carbs to 20-30 a day. It could also just be water weight that will drop soon enough. Good luck.

Protonix Or Alternative Ppi?
Fiddleman replied to delta_girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've taken prilosec since day 8 post-op and have never had an issue with hunger or heartburn. It is available off the shelf, but tends to cost quite a bit. For example, a 90 count is $25 at the local target. -
Lots and lots of chicken.

I have not taken anything for hair loss. It got a little crazy 2 weeks ago when I stopped taking B12 because I ran out for a week. Once, I started taking the B12 again, the hair loss went into remission again. I could be wrong because my hair is pretty short to start out with. If I am shedding more than my dog, I know I have a problem.

Plateau- What's Your Longest?
Fiddleman replied to COnative's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Longest one was 3 weeks in length at 5 weeks. The others have been between 3-5 days since then. They usually break on their own, but I do make sure to keep the plan going through them. -

Ahhhh Why Am I So Hungry!
Fiddleman replied to MommaMeg01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like having an large egg scrambled with feta. On the side, I have 2 maple chicken sausages ( really juicy- from costco). In fact, that was my breakfast this morning! This breakfast is very filling as compared to drinking a protein shake for breakfast ( the usual). -
Despite Progress, It Is Still Hard Sometimes...
Fiddleman posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have done well so far with the following progress from surgery on 7-2: Dropped 110 lb (335 to 235) Dropped 10 pant sizes (46+ to 36) Dropped 3 shirt sizes (3x to large) Dropped all meds related to comorbidities I look in the mirror and don't recognize the person looking back sometimes. Really leaning out and getting a swimmers physique. However, it is still hard. I miss having some foods and enjoying drinks. It is not a cakewalk, but I am always reminded of how close I was to having a short life before and how much food owned every aspect of my life, even my mental health. I would not go back despite the hard journey it has been. For the first time in a long time, I am happy about myself and the future. -

Urine Dark And Not Thirsty
Fiddleman replied to weezer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Be careful about dehydration. Flavoring your water might help, it does for me. Try using crystal light or mio. I also ordered a product called zero water on amazon to filter out the water. Even bottles water is strange tasting to me. I am psyched about the zero water as i used to love drinking straight water. -

35# to lose? That would be far less expensive and pain free just to do one of the typical diets like WW or Jenny Craig. I hope you don't interpret this as talking out of both sides of my mouth, just surprised. Getting WLS was literally a life saver for me and required months of prep work in addition to a decision to be committed to a new lifestyle. -

Found this out by accident this morning when cleaning my blender cup. Take your blender cup with the metal ball in it and fill it 1/2 way with Water. Turn it side ways and grab the ends with both hands. Stand up straight, hold your core tight and shake vigorously from side to side in a horizontal plane for 5 minutes. It gives your core and lower back an invigorating workout. You want to makes sure the ball hits the edges as you go from side to side in a fast and rhythmic fashion. Should I patent it as a made for tv gizmo All kidding aside, it makes for a brain dead simple exercise. You may be able to increase intensity by filling with more water, a more liquid with more viscosity or by increasing the rate of oscillation. Have fun!

Does Wl Really Stop At 6 Mos?!
Fiddleman replied to Blugirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just had my 100 day session with NUT and she said 18 months. That surprised me. I thought we would be done after 12 months. Now, I am also wondering if the power of the sleeve as a weight loss tool is with us forever. If we wanted to do the sleeve experience in, say, 10 years from now after a hypothetical weight gain, would it be possible? By this, I am asking if the sleeve will restrict and drop the lbs like it is doing now. Or is it a 1 shot deal? -
Getting Hit On After Surgery
Fiddleman replied to Lil Miss Ree's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I believe that some people do change their personality when going from being morbidly obese to a socially acceptable weight. It is because this person no longer is a doormat and will no longer let people walk over them. They gain more confidence and, in some cases, become just a little more judgemental or critical of people. I think this is just the human condition. I hope to not become like that, but I have seen it happen.
