Not Getting Enough Protein Or Fluids. Help .. I Need Ideas Because Everything Make Me Nauseous.
Fiddleman replied to amazong's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In the beginning, there was light...seriously, in the beginning it really helped me to go through 1-2 oz of protein shake every hour. I did this for 3 weeks. 1-2 ounces an hour is a lot easier to handle than 8 oz servings. Keep sipping the water all day when you are not sipping the protein shake. It does get better, much better, in a few weeks. Remember to keep walking as that will help your body heal at a faster rate. I hope you feel better soon. -

Where Is Everyone From?
Fiddleman replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My ancestors are from Glasgow, Scotland and I have always wanted to visit. Everytime I see a movie like Braveheart or Roy, I want to visit. Someday I will have money and time to visit...For now, I will just play some Scottish aires on my fiddle. -
Yeah, my NUT was pretty adamant about it and she knows what she is talking about. I have found her to be very wise in my WLS journey so far.

I had bruchetta chicken burger at red robin tonight with lettuce wrap instead of bun and borocolli instead of fries. The chicken had melted cheeze on it. Do you think I am going to have a problem with the melted cheese. Ate about 1/2 to hit around 4-5 oz, but feeling super full. This is the most I have eaten so far in 4 months since losing my stomach. I remembered not to eat melted cheese after doing it per NUT during pre-op NUT class. Tongue in cheek- will I expect to go to the ER because of blockage? First time eating melted cheese since surgery.

Sugar Addiction
Fiddleman replied to Ms skinniness's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What about having sugar substitutes? There are a ton of sweets made with Splenda and other sweeteners. While I am not saying to go crazy with sugar-free canines, it is better for you than canines with real sugar. -

You mean kind of like a person who yells, "3...2...1. I'm debt freeeeeeee!!" On the Dave Ramsey shoe. Some people will know what I am talking about.

Smoothe Move Tea For Constipation?
Fiddleman replied to cosmo95's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got a good price for it off amazon.com. it is pretty potent stuff so I would just use it as needed. -
You might also try a hot sugar free apple cider by alpine. It has warmed me up quite nicely, with the heat radiating from stomach outward. It is very low cal also.

To be honest, my NUT said most will lose 50-70% in 12-18 months. That did not sound like good odds to me. Maybe she gives those statistics in order to factor in those that eat whatever they want, or don't exercise or just have body types that bring the averages down. Who knows? Everyone should formulate a plan that works for them and one they can follow for a decent amount of time. A plan that works for one person may not work that well or at all for others. Good luck everyone and keep fighting the good fight.

My favorite popcorn was white cheddar, followed by moose munch, followed by caramel, followed by movie popcorn. Was any one else into these before? I was such an addict for the white cheddar. Mmmmmm.
