Shooting Pain On Lowerright Abdomen
Fiddleman replied to VitaleEM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that is the cause. Time to double dip the miralax next that happens. LOL! -
Subliminal is the way to go. I currently take the b12 from Celebrate. The tabs dissolve in about 5 seconds and have a good cherry taste.

Protein Shakes Give Me The Sh#&*
Fiddleman replied to jennrus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I second that; do try light soy (70 calories a serving). I had a big issue with Milk post op, but it had since gotten better. However, I like light vanilla soy so much, I just continue with it and use nonfat milk in my Cappuccino. -
I drink 2 protein shakes a day and get the rest of my protein from solids. B12 and B50 complex are two of the supplements I take daily. Drinking lots of water exercising and staying regular also helps with energy. There is nothing that kills energy faster than not being regular.

I had one put in while I was awake by a female nurse in the ICU. That was probably the most awkward thing I have ever done in my life. At least she kind of looked like Angelina Jolie. It is kind of painful when going in and coming out, but only for a minute or so.

Do you no how many calories are in a grande skinny vanilla or cinnamon dulce? These are good to have if the calories are ok. -

Not going to give up my daily cappuccino. I started have a cappuccino at 6 weeks and have done fine now at 4.5 months. -
I don't really know how I would do with carbs because I eat low carb. However, last night I did try a bite of a chicken quesadilla. It was fairly good and did not cause any issues, but it didn't set off any flavor fireworks either so think I will just stick with the purer forms of proteins. I don't really crave anything and often find myself talking myself out of eating when it is time to eat. However, I then remind myself that it is important to eat a small meal every 3 hours for the weight loss to work.

Has Anyone Gone Through The Phase Of Eating Food And Spitting It Out?
Fiddleman replied to ThurstT4life's topic in Food and Nutrition
I think the more you abstain from certain foods (sweets and other carbs), the less you will crave them. It has been quite a few months since i have had sweets and there are zero cravings. Now a good skewer of chicken is what I want at times when I am out and unable to find one...try not to get started on slippery slopes because they can snowball really quickly if they are not kept under control. Speaking from experience here before getting the sleeve... -

White Fuzzy Tongue?
Fiddleman replied to CbelladonnaC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I got this once around day 8. After some serious scraping, I got most of it out. I have not gotten it again in last 4 months. -
You might use flavored calcium chews. They are king of like candy as they come in caramel, chocolate, strawberry and other flavors. I eat 6 a day to meet my calcium requirements and enjoy them because of the yummy caramel flavor. Only a few calories each.

Bowel Movements....
Fiddleman replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank goodness for miralax. I can't even taste it or feel any texture if I mix it with 32 oz of flavored Water ( mio). I try and take one serving a day ( sometimes I forget). If there is build up. I have smooth move tea. Do not take Smooth move daily because your body my compensate for it, making it even harder to be regular. -

When Do People Notice?
Fiddleman replied to sramos89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My sister-in-laws did not notice at 2 months out when I had lost 70 lb. It was strange because I really noticed. I think it took about 3 months and 90 lb before they started to notice. I definitely lost a lot of inches when the scale has not been moving as fast after 3 montgs. Now that I am down 110 everyone better notice!! LOL!!! I need to lose about 150 total. 4.5 months out so far. The best part is losing my stomach. It is gone. Absolutely gone at size 36 pants size. My face, arms, legs and cheat are much smaller. It is amazing. I have never realized how big I was until losing all these inches. No problem sitting in and chair now, including movie theatre. I do have to say that sitting on hard surfaces is sometimes uncomfortable without the padding and I get pretty cold a lit. Good luck.
