    1 Month Out Calorie Ranges?

1 month out was 300 to 500 calories, depending on how well I was dealing with solids. I remember that 2-3 ounces of chicken and salmon were a little painful at that time. At almost 5 months, I am at around 600 to 900. Everyone is a little different in their solid transitions. I slimed a lot.

    Carbs,sugar ,junk...yummmm

Sure. Syntrax matrix Cookies and creme is my favorite and the only one I have tried in last 4 months. There are some other flavors. I buy my supply from amazon about 2 lb container every 2 weeks.

    Popcorn

If popcorn does work for you, be careful. For some, popcorn is a slider food and could lead to a fall down a slippery slope. If you are safe around popcorn and won't eat too much, then I think some popcorn would be fine. I used to inhale popcorn, any type of popcorn, as it was my favorite food pre sleeve. If I ate popcorn post sleeve, I would probably be the first one at the bottom of the slope.

B12 promotes energy when combine with food. Not sure about it promoting hunger when eaten in isolation. As for hunger in the morning, I have found that eating an extended release shake at bedtime helps with both morning hunger and weight loss. I eat a small amount of Protein every 3 hours and usually do not have hunger issues. Meals are about 100-125 calories each. I am about 5 months out and have dropped 121 lbs and have about 40 to go. Drinking a lot of Water and exercising also helps stave off hunger.

    Incision Popped

That sounds bad. Maybe you should get on the phones with the doctor as soon as possible.

    Alcohol After Surgery

Long Island teas used to be my favorite in the past. 2 would definitely make me tipsy. Maybe someday I will have one again, but for now I am not drinking anything for at least 1 year, just to avoid complications or mess with my focus of reaching goal.

Is It Bad I'm A Little Happy....

I am going to miss the thought of fried twinkles at the state fair. Not that I have ever had one, but it is as much a part of te fair food experience as onion burgers and scones.
  8. The syntrax shakes make pretty good meals and have about 100 calories a serving. I happen to like the nectar double cookie and matrix Oreo flavors, but there are so many other flavors to choose from. The key is to think of even your snacks as meals. I have 6 meals a day where each is around 125 calories. Two of them are shakes mixed with water where the others are 3-4 oz of some protein. Eating small meals every 3 hours helps keep hunger at bay, normalizes the insulin response and increases your metabolism for more efficient calorie burning. Good luck.

    1 Mth/50 Lbs Before/after

Wow, 50 lb in 1 month. That is spectacular. Great job.
  10. I started to get leg cramps last night in the calf muscle. My understanding is that deficiencies in nutrients like magnesium and zinc may cause cramping. Two questions: 1. My Multivitamin says it has 10% magnesium and 200% zinc. Not sure, but I also may be getting these from my Protein intense diet. 2. I have really increased my exercise this week where I have averaged an hour of intense cardio a day. I do still drink 100+ oz Water a day and 125 grams protein a day. Your thoughts?
  11. Just this evening I have been feeling a bit tender and achy on my left side, below the rib cage and probably where the remainder of my stomach resides. Not sure what it is, but kind of feels like a case of diverticulitis. I had that once. It is fairly far to the left side in front. I drink a lot of water every day and am almost 5 months out. BM frequency is almost daily, but nothing to write home about. I should do a clean of the intestines. Any thoughts or related experiences?

    Surgery Date Ticker Issue

Speaking of glitches, has anyone noticed that is kind of unstable on the iPad? I have a new iPad and I think that once a day the app will start getting flaky and then crash back to the iPad desktop. I know that the app is about to crash when the text starts disappearing from the lists of posts. There is no way to recover from this state and I have to wait for the crash because there is no way to manually close the app ( that I know of). Do others experience this with the app running on the new iPad?

    Surgery Date Ticker Issue

It might just be a software glitch. Best to wait to see if the developer fixes it. Someone might want to explicitly report the issue back to the site developer.
  14. Ouch. That is interesting to hear about litigation concerning the comments of one person.

    Leg Cramps

Thanks for the suggestions on use of electrolytes. I think increasing the intensity of my workouts this week probably reduced the electrolyte levels, I'll stop by GNC and see what I can find out.
  16. I would like to know what was wrong with the thread too.

    Tender On The Let Side

Yes, I do. Do you think tender on the left side would be that?

    Slimmies

Agree about the dangers of eating and drinking. Once is enough for most folks. I have found the drinking before eating is generally ok, but drinking immediately after leads to the painful stuck feeling in chest.
  19. Glad both you and your dog are safe.

    What Vitamins Are You Taking?

I take 2 trader joe high potency multi vitamin, 6 250 mg calcium chews, 2 subliminal b12, 1 b50 capsule, 1 high dose krill, 1 5000 IU D, 3000 mg C crystals ( mix with flavor water) and a serving of super food powder ( fruit, veggie, probiotic goodness). Usually I take the multivitamins first thing in the morning, 2 calcium chews after each traditional meal time ( I eat 6 x a day, but take chews 3 x a day), the rest of the vitamins in the morning hours before lunch.
