    carbs in the morning?

Yup - love the energy squares for good energy during runs an hour or longer. Great source of good carbs and tasty too. Highly recommend chocolate paradise from nuts.com., but you may want to try out some other flavors to see what suits you.

    Negative Boyfriend

You have a beautiful personality and are a beautiful person. Some people may say this and say that, but in the end it comes down to what you believe in your heart, what you know is to be true. If someone close to you constantly belittles what you know to be true and right, then it is time to find someone that believes in you, and rejoices in all things about you.

    best green superfood powder?

By the way, no worries about being off topic. I started this thread so I get to make the rules. Besides, I am not sure why some people get bent out of shape by off topic discussions. Often times, a lot of wisdom comes from them. As you have demonstrated.

    best green superfood powder?

Hey, it is being presented by TED so it can't be that bad. I will look through these links tomorrow.
  5. I think 800 is just dandy for where you at. I struggled with getting above 600 until month 5. Just make sure you are getting 80+ g protein and everything else will follow.

    Panera's Hidden Menu

Eating their chicken hummus salad. Really good!!!! No way I can eat like even 1/4 this, but I am thrilled to be able to eat here. When I mentioned wanting to eat off their secret menu, the cashiers eyes lit up and they were really pleased and excited to be selling it. People go eat off their hidden menu!!!! You won't regret it. Edit - no idea how mystery picture ended up below.

JKG- thanks for sharing!! I definitely need to read up on chinese and Indian approaches to health. I like to keep an open mind about things, always wanting to learn new approaches. They might really be helpful!!

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

That is really great you are out of the hospital. Even though there is the initial thrill and excitement at the beginning, it does get kind of old after a few days especially with the nurses waking you at crazy hours. Spent about a week there myself after surgery ( low O2 levels). Start walking every day. Start slow. There is no need to even think about jogging / running until you can walk really well for long distances. You want your lung capacity to be fully operational before you start huffing and puffing. The key is to do a little bit more each time you get out. Maybe an extra block, an extra mile etc. Spend the time to build up your health and endurance. Maybe even walk your first 5 k just to get an idea about the distance. There are many great walks for causes out there like the 3 day for breast cancer, walks for diabetes, etc. I am thinking about doing the 3 day this year to help out the cause. It might be good to start the c25k program after your doctor clears you for all exercises (usually 5-6 weeks). The benefit of using a program like c25k is that it is naturally progressive and you can always repeat days or weeks if you want to. Take it at a pace that works for you. Figuratively speaking, it is not a race to get to the end of post op weight loss phase. A gradual approach is helpful for most folks. A little better each week. Good luck in your post sleeve endeavors!

What benefits are you deriving from the Chinese and Indian herbs if I may ask? Not very familiar with those.

    Any okay tasting protein shakes?

Nectar sweets are so good!! I am addicted to the Cookies and creme. Still order it and drink today at 8 months. The other sweets are good too like vanilla bean. Enjoy the truffle! It is good with PB2 to make a quasi Reece's pieces flavor.

    NSAIDS

Hi - my wife has this disease also. It can be so debilitating at times. She is taking remacaid (sp?), but she has also tried embrel in addition to hydrocodone / prednisone in the past. Are you able to talk to the rheumatologist about these other pain meicine options that are not NSAID? Remacaide has really made a quality of life difference for my wife. it is relatively new and is mouse protein! kind of strange considering she gets mouse Protein infused every 6 weeks, but hey, she can do so many more things now without pain. By the way, my wife is going to have VSG in a few months and her VST name is pheonix79 if you want to message her about pain medicine options.
